Loved You A Little is better than TBS's 3 new singles by a lot

 

This is great

 

I'm admittedly pretty excited to hear this record y'all are raving about now. Could not stand that first single.

 

That song is so so so sooooooo so bad.

 

Ok, this I can get on board with

 

Why? The first two albums have good songs on them, those albums do not. Once again: I actively hate those albums.

 

I just feel that those three sound like natural progressions from those two albums, moreso than anything since

Jason, how do you feel about those Taking Back Sunday albums?

 

I'm just ready to feel New Again with this new blink album!

 

What?! hahaha! I just assumed that was everyone's favorite TBS song of the last 10 years or whatever haha. It's the best one by a mile.

 

I don't get despising those two albums at all but not gonna argue about them, especially in the blink thread lol. Just glad Jason loves 152

 

It’s horrible. Adam sounds like boiling frog.

 

I think I just hate the vocal mix on that song, it sounds like it was produced by someone else compared to the rest of the record. Feels out of place.

Stood A Chance is worse though.

 

For the best. Maybe that's why it's the only one I like.

Musically, "Flicker Fade" is by far my favorite thing TBS has done in the last 10 years. I love the vibe and emotion of the song and how it builds at the end. And I actually don't loathe his voice on it like almost everything else from all those post-reunion albums.

 

Both the Hopeless records sound directionless to me. Like they couldn’t decide where to go after their declining success and reintroduction of John and Shaun. The break and new album seem to have course-corrected that.

if I really wanted to have fun I’d say OMT is closer to Nine than anything else in their catalog and just walk away whistling
