  1. If Green Day plays all of Dookie at WWWY, their set would be more popular than Blink’s, I think.

I think Blink will outdraw them, GD has been fairly omnipresent over the past 4-5 years

I think the audience of WWWY will preffer blink closing, being a pop-punk revival fest. Any other festival or show, I think GD would close.

  9. Blink having an album coming out the day before may help their draw too? Especially if it’s great

Yeah that’s true. I know for me personally American Idiot was the last Green Day album I listened to, and the only time I’ve seen them live was because they touring with Blink back in 2002

Based on the initial poster they released for WWWY, I would say Green Day was set to close. If I recall, they were the first band listed. Obviously, things can change, even if that meant to be accurate. I won’t be there, so, whatever.

The way I look at it the last time blink closed over Green Day, Green Day got pissed and put out the best album of their career so maybe we should be rooting for blink to close the show.

  23. They can “lose” the already recorded one again. I’m in.

I honestly have zero positive expectations for their upcoming album. It’s been recorded well over a year ago (maybe longer) and they decided to keep pushing it back to release anniversary editions of previous albums instead should tell you all you need to know about it. Then again I haven’t truly liked a Green Day album in 14 years so that doesn’t help my expectations either.
