I can't and don't want to keep track of who hates what. It's exhausting.

 

I can’t even remember what users I’ve replied to before. There are people I’ve gotten to know on here and recognize. But sometimes, I go by avatar for a bit and if it changes, they’re a new person to me!

It’s why I’ve only had like 3 avatars total on Chorus so far.

 

I need a new Green Day album so this website can stop talking about FOAM in every music thread

On a serious note, I think I'm at a place with MTYK where it's the same as Darkside, I like it so much that I wouldn't be disappointed if it was the best song on the album, but I'm still kinda expecting like 3 or 4 songs to beat it now

 

They've been doing the anniversary releases of Insomniac, Nimrod, and now Dookie coming up. They also released those BBC Sessions which compiled their BBC performances up until the Warning era. So at least when it comes to their music releases, I feel like there's been a heavy focus on nostalgia.

 

Same. It's so effing good that I'm treading lightly with my expectations on the rest of it. I mean, there is a reason it was going to be released on 6/2 and the power behind the song definitely gets the people goin'.

With 14 other songs unheard, we are definitely in for some other greats spread throughout the mix as well. Even No Heart To Speak Of and Black Rain were hiding in the dealers hand until Nine was fully out.

 

Been getting some Neighborhoods vibes on MTYK… something somewhat in the realm of Natives… kind of that almost “airy, far-out” feel of that album in the more melodic bits, but with that self-titled era level of angst and cohesion where everything feels right and sticks like glue.

It’s almost what I had hoped Neighborhoods would sound like, if only they’d been in the same room more, rather than assembling tracks over the internet.

 

None of it sounds like Neighborhoods so far. The new songs are actually good.

 

The production is pretty good too. I wonder if Travis worked with anybody between the first reunion and this reunion that he might have learned production stuff from

Yeah Neighborhoods isn't as bad as a few loud users here make it out to be. It's fine but I don't get how any blink fan could call it a trash album with songs like Ghost, After Midnight, Wishing Well, and Even if She Falls on there. Shameful haters ...just pure shameful.

 

Eh those are the few songs everybody here agrees are good lol.

 

Looking at the tracklist again and songs 10-13 are really the only weak spot for me, and even those songs have their moments

 

I just mean it sounds like what Neighborhoods was seemingly going for, but mostly failed to actually achieve or live up to… if that makes sense.

Neighborhoods - if it was more developed and dialed in…

Better for sure. Though people will have issues with the production still. The largest thread currently on the subreddit pertains to such a thing.

 

I will never care what the blink-182 subreddit thinks about production and I’ve never listened to FOAM
