  1. "Peggy Sue" rules. This makes me want to listen to the MTATS version though haha. It's cool hearing that song with a little better production, even though it's "live."

  3. "Sometimes" doesn't get talked about enough. It rules. Apparently they played it (for the first/only time) by request at the SLC date of the TOYPAJ Tour in 2001, but I wasn't there so I can't confirm or deny that. But I like to believe that it's not true so I don't feel like I missed out.

  6. I've always been a big fan of "Does My Breath Smell?" It's crazy that they used to play it live at every show and now it's like it never existed... It's a great one

  8. I wasn't ever a real big fan of "Cacophony." It was just kinda there. But in the last few years or so, it clicked with me, and now I really like it. One of my favorites from CC.

  9. "TV" kind of reminds me of "Quarantine." Kinda dorky lyrically, but it's short and fun enough to enjoy.

Blink taking fan requests in 2001 of a random Buddha/Cheshire Cat song they apparently never played before? Was it the same show they randomly played Online Songs for the only time?

Yeah going to go and say that didn’t happen haha.

  11. Haha the intro to "Toast and Bananas" sounds a lot like "Glycerine" by Bush. I just realized this. I used to play this song (and "Glycerine" too) all the time on my guitar back in junior high.

  12. Oh wait, "first time since 1996" so I guess it wouldn't have been the first time. But still, yeah, I don't know if I trust it.

  15. "Romeo and Rebecca" was always one of my favorites on Cheshire Cat. They really liked doing slow intros back then. Carousel, Does My Breath Smell, Toast and Bananas, and this one all start off slow and then bust into the fast punk stuff.

Wasting Time and M&M’s are their first true hits and they are fucking amazing and I wish they still played both of them.

It takes all of the energy out of the riff. Those opening chords are so slow and boring, it just makes the opening of the song toothless.

Personally I think Cheshire Cat is just an all-around bad album. I think all the CC versions of the Buddha songs are much diminished and it's only really redeeming songs are M+M's, which is just fine in the context of the blink-182 ouevre, and Peggy Sue, which is one of their best songs but didn't really reach it's full potential on that recording. They really improved that song live and the MT&TS version rules.

  18. "Ben Wah Balls" is awesome. On the back of the CD, they made the last 3 songs a different color, to show they were joke songs, I guess. But I never counted this song as a "joke song" really. I'd put it in the same category as "Voyeur" or something. I dunno. But whatever, this song's fun.

Just got done with a meeting but happy to jump in on the next one with everyone. I still think it would be hilarious if they pulled out Ben Wah Balls on tour at some point though.

Anyone think about/sing the mark tom and travis show "Belong" harmony on the studio version of Pathetic every time?

  21. Their high pitched screams on "Just About Done" kill me every time haha. This track's so dumb but very fitting for 1995 Blink.

Honestly, Just About Done would probably be even better to hear them do live in 2023 than Ben Wah Balls

  23. My friends and I fucking loved "Depends" when I got this CD in junior high. It's still funny haha.
