I bet Mark is rapping in that new song - It's alright to tell me, what you think about me.

So that guy Watts has worked with artists like Bieber and Selena Gomes, lets hope they were only borrowing his studio haha

I have confidence in Mark and Travis that even if they do go on a more experimental route, it'll still have that blink feel to it. I'm definitely excited to hear some new stuff.

Bieber and Selena Gomez are as good or better at blink-182 at making music since 2011

  8. I think Blink's definition of "experimental" would be songs reminiscent to "Fighting The Gravity" and "Bottom of the Ocean."

  9. When I read your comment the first time, I was like "Whaaaa?!" and now that I actually think about it... I'd rather listen to "What Do U Mean" than the vaaaast majority of California.

If that's the case just give me California Part 2. But yeah I agree.

  14. Literally won't ever happen unless they give Skiba the majority of the control over songwriting.

  16. We all have that same dream, friend. Whatever they end up doing, you'll love it. Especially because I bet it will be closer to California than anything else.

If it was a mix of California and ST I’d die happy

  18. I think most of us probably agree more or less that we'd like the band's newer stuff more if they weren't trying to mimic their previous records.

    So here's a fun game!

If you could give the band/Feldmann 3 albums to take inspiration from for the next album, what would they be?

If I were able to point blink towards five albums to look to for inspiration as they worked on a new record, I think they’d be

    The Cure, Disintegration
    Descendents, Hypercaffium Spazzinate
Bad Astronaut, Houston We Have a Drinking Problem
Death Cab for Cutie, Thank You for Today
    Carly Rae Jepsen, Emotion

I know they already like the Cure, Descendents, and Bad Astronaut. Drinking Problem was an album they cited as an influence on untitled repeatedly. The new Death Cab album is such a successful, catchy mood piece that ties together a theme of wistful reflection that I think Mark could really tap into lyrically. And Carly Rae is perfect pop music and who can’t get something from listening to that album? It’s just great.
