New trio

 

Um, I loved that. I’m a very casual AK3 fan but glad they still sound like themselves after blink. I was very interested - even with all of Matt’s other side projects, such a high profile one I thought could have maybe changed something. There’s something so Ernest about how AK3 songs sound that I hope Matt can bring more of to blink on the next release.

Also, dig the AK3 song. This style is what I thought Matt was gonna be bringing to Blink.

 

I love Tom, but he wishes he could write a song about a spy plane as well as Skiba penned this new ALK3 song. That being said, Skiba needs to bring this level of songwriting to Blink, preferably without Feldman making every good idea shittier.

Ah just saw it. I seriously don't understand the appeal of face tattoos. It's the most unattractive thing I can think of.

 

Well to be fair the face is literally the only part of Travis' body that has space for any tattoos. But yeah I agree, I don't get it either.

 

Yeah California is kind of the outlier for him - Trio, solo stuff, Heavens, and Sekrets kind of all kind of share the same DNA.

Then again, while California is Blink's first pop-punk album in a while it doesn't really sound like anything they've done in recent memory.

Kind of surprising since there are a few songs on Kuts that sound like they could be off the +44 album.

Love it or hate it, Feldman was the bigger creative force on California - the fact that some of the new Goldfinger tracks sounded like Blink b-sides is proof of that - along with songs off the new State Champs album being note-for-note copies of some of the Blink songs as well.

 

When will blink record new album?

That blink-155 podcast is pretty whack. I listened to the latest episode for as long as I could and couldn't believe the amount of things they got wrong or didn't know.

 

That’s why you gotta get on their twitter and harass them about it. They seem like good dudes
