you're probably right. while i don't believe i've been rude or angry, maybe just annoying, but damn. you guys are an angry bunch. I'll dip out
I loved it as well. I'll agree Neighborhoods is not their best work but I have a lot of fond memories from listening to that album. It was released during my freshmen year of college so I always relate it to that uncertain but exciting time period in my life.
It really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. The best songs are the ones they did last minute as a band before the record came out, and the remaining ones....the AVA/synth/echo/delay pedal ones....those need some work.
