sometimes fests will hold out on a headline or two and IIRC there were a few "gaps" in the initial announcement poster. But not top billing, which I feel like blink would get. I don't know how long the boat to Europe takes, but if I'm not mistaken, the euro tour starts June 7th which would mean a late-May "departure", lining up with BC
True. I dont know the openers, so I guess, if they dont play boston, Im fine with it. But perhaps, more dates TBA...
True on boston calling - I mean - is Tool the headliner, so to speak? Not the biggest name, kwim? Sure, popular, but <THAT> popular nowadays? Blink would make it insane.
Here is their setlist from a show they did in Scottsdale over the weekend. blink‐182 Setlist at TPC Birds Nest, Scottsdale
Pretty cool this is coming to Orlando and The Naked and Famous are opening. Depends on the price for me.
I thought about trying to make it out to the Kansas City or Springfield dates but 7 hours is too far to see the same set I saw them play last year. The openers don't do anything for me either.
I have some friends who are considering going to one of those two as well. Pretty sure I'm going to sit it out.
I might be totally off track but part of me thinks the choice in openers might spawn some deeper cuts by blink
I'd MUCH rather TN&F and Wavves over any combination of this summer's openers. Naked and Famous would be a blast.
In comparison to blinks previous choices in support they just seem different (in a good way). I'm not bashing either band.
i wouldn't count on it. blink has played plenty of times in locations where you'd say 'awww yea this is gonna be a old school punk heavy set' ............... nope.
