Saw this a few times but get more of a Midtown - Living Well Is The Best Revenge vibe. Either way, song's great.
Travis confirmed it was him and Tom in the Zane Lowe interview. Travis was tasked to write 3 songs so he essentially made a quick hardcore EP and recorded everything. Then showed Fuck Face to Tom and Mark which they wanted to keep.
That was an extremely fun listen. I think I was mostly overwhelmed with “holy shit they’re back” through the whole thing so I’m extremely excited to listen a thousand more times. Anthem Part 3, Terrified, & Blink Wave were my standouts.
] I'm glad to hear people who've heard it are saying the rest of the album is better than Fell in Love because that song blows chunks.
a pair of blink bunnies bringing good omens in preparation for the proper album drop tonight. Cheers everyone. Very excited for the front to back play through.
Terrified even sounds super similar to the production of that BCR record. Especially the voice processing. I was expecting something way more “adapted” to the current record instead of something that could have been released in 2002
So I caved and only listened to the songs that weren’t released yet. Sound quality was so so but holy shit I wasn’t expecting an album like this from them in 2023. I can’t wait to properly listen to the album in full. Anthem Part 3 is massive, I’m shocked Tom could make a BCR song in 2023 and make it sound good, Blink Wave is great, Bad News, Otherside great. Still in shock at how good this is and I liked all the songs they already released. I truly hope this is the start of a new chapter in the band and Tom doesn’t flake out again and stays focused on blink because they have all proved they can still make killer music together.
I'm hearing Fell in Love for the first time with the leak and I don't know what you guys have been on about. What a fun song. Love the chorus.
No shipping email, but a tracking number appeared in my Shop app and it's moving. (For the Spotify variant.)
Fell in Love feels like it was written by AI for that tiktok money. that opening that turns one of Robert Smith's best songs into some royalty free jingle shit makes me feel genuinely nauseous one man's take, but there's absolutely nothing surprising about it being consensus worst song lol
I’m listening to the album for the first time (Edging is playing now) and that has been my favorite part so far. Got goosebumps, misty eyes and all that
The chorus of You Don't Know What You've Got would randomly play in my head since the trailer was released. Feels good to finally have the whole song.
