Yeah, I'd like to hear more of that... Would be cool if on the next releases, we had songs where Travis was sharing songs with both Mark and Tom. That being said though, this song was a delight. Travis' singing/yelling complimented the type of Tom singing/yelling he has done on a few tracks over the years.
The grit in Toms voice in Anthem pt 3 immediately sets the tone for how passionate this album will be
I'm waiting for tomorrow to listen to this, but can anyone tell me, on this album what is the most classic 'Blink' sounding song please?
Travis actually said in the Zane Lowe interview that it originally was for a hardcore punk ep that he was working on and he actually sang on it then had Tom come in to do some vocal lines. Zane even commented on this saying how the distortion made it sound like they were the same person.
This doesn't really answer your question but it'll give you an idea as to what to expect musically and sonically. My immediate impression is if Untitled and TOYPAJ had a baby, mixed with a sprinkling of BCR, this would be that album.
This is an album of friendships - sure it’s cheesy but it’s really getting me in my feelings. I think of my high school best friends Curtis and Paul and cutting class in November of 2003 to go to Best Buy and buy untitled on CD - I think of AbsolutePunk.net in 2004 and how that changed my life just a flood of great memories ole ole ole ole
You know I'm not as familiar with them as I should be tbh. There Is is a very special song to me though so I should dive in more. Terrified is a fucking beast of a song
This album really does feel like they put Box Car Racer, Angels and Airwaves, +44, and 2001-2003 blink-182 into a blender and somehow got a better tasting Mark, Tom, and Travis smoothie than you ever thought possible.
My only issue is that I wish it was longer or they gave it an outro instead of ending it abruptly other than that it was a nice tune.
