I don't necessarily think that's a poorly written song. If you want to dredge up bad writing, Give Me One Good reason is my exemplar. "They don't want to, and don't fit in" is clunky as fuck.
So am I imagining it or have people been getting their shipping notifications? I swear I remember seeing an expected ship date of Sunday or Monday but can't find it.
Fell In Love is fine. I’m sure it’s better in the context of the album too. Wish there was a little less auto tune.
I mean we can shit on their lyrics all day but they are/have been very successful, are super popular and make tons of money so maybe sometimes doing less is more? Not saying anyone here is right or wrong but this is who they are and it clearly works for them.
For me, this is probably the worst blink song lyrically with Tom on it. Some stuff on TOYPAJ comes close.
catchy for sure but definitely my least favorite. kinda glad I listened to it now and instead of hearing first time during album listen. what if Travis produced an ava song
reminds me of what i didn't like about nine, i see it's co-written by a guy i think is one of the biggest hacks in the music industry regardless, it's ok at the very least
its a very bad corny song that will probably be fun live. mostly what i expect from this band nowadays, and i think thats fine.
I never thought I'd be fine with Na Na Nas just because .... they are blatantly not a rip off of their normal use of Na Na Nas.
Looks like Ryan Tedder has co-writing credit on this. It’s fine. Not bad, we’ll see how it stacks up. The new Anthem clip on stall, however…
Swing and a bunt, more like. It's a safe short little bop. No complaints from me, but is it the most exciting of the bunch so far? Na na na
More Than You Know is my favorite of the new tracks. The drums/pummeling on Tom’s verse are deliciously heavy for what will be one of 3 rock albums the general public will listen to this year and makes it feel like they are going for it and not phoning it in which I think makes the more cheesy/easy tracks feel less cheesy/easy. It makes me perk up more than I expected like when I heard the opening track on the new Death Cab and the messiness of the quiet/LOUD dynamics tipped me off that this isn’t going to be an easy auto-pilot DCFC album. Looking forward to the full album!
I like the new song. I don’t see why people are complaining about the lyrics so bad, I’d never expect blink to write anything with substance. But I guess I felt the same way about NFGs Forever album. And these songs are nowhere near as bad lyrically
for some reason I instantly liked it more on a second listen lol restraining myself to not listen again until next week.
