Yeah this is the only blink-182 thread for me... I gave up on keeping up with that one (unless I want to miss out on interesting discussion (that I'd have to skip just to keep up with the present)).

After one listen I'm not really a fan tbh but I'm sure it will grow on me

 

I get that it’s a Cure sample, and I do love that song, but the way it’s arranged here made me think I got one of those YouTube survey things

 

Getting huge Bloc Party vibes in the chorus… the guitars.

Feeling pretty meh on this track.

 

Gave it one more listen this morning and I'm feeling it a lot more. Definitely hearing The Cure vibes after more listens.

Man, I know that lyrics are not the strong suit of the band. And I'm sure that if some of their old songs that I really love came out now I'd shit on the lyrics too. But like, they're smart guys. They're very good at putting songs together. How is this the best that they come up with? Outside of "One More Time", which I also find a bit clunky lyrically, these songs are fucking dreadful lyrically haha.

It's a catchy song, as they all are, but I don't know if there's any replay value here for me. We'll see when the album comes out.

I like it. Not my favorite but I def like it. Edging continues to be the only one I don’t enjoy.

 

Yeah, but so do plenty of other bands that also spend time writing their lyrics haha.
