10 days out... Anyone planning on waking up and immediately going to the nearest place that still sells CD's and grabbing it? Good thing I have a "doctor's appointment" on that Friday morning.
I actually like having a new album to wake up to and listen to on my train ride to work on Friday mornings. It’s a great way to start a Friday
I took the day off work and will be buying the CD at Target that morning, then driving around with a childhood friend listening to it – just like we did in 2003 with the untitled album. It's gonna be a big day.
Interesting. For me, within the context of the four songs we have now, EDGING is by far the weakest track. Putting on any of the other 3 and then EDGING and it’s like, “oh, this is the fire/sincerity you are bringing? And you led off with EDGING? It feels like a generic blink song.” I still like it. But it’s not in the same league as the other three.
I'll probably go buy it since Friday is a typical off day for me but there's no way I'm not listening at midnight lol
"Columbia’s Lisa Sonkin stays red hot with blink-182’s“ONE MORE TIME,” which is at #2 and up 500x" #2 in Alternative Radio :) https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=337870
Posting just because..... Travis's son released his debut single, and yes it's less than two minutes long, damn TikTok generation....
Supposedly this is the BCR song being reworked… I honestly never even knew this existed until the other day (and was ironically originally titled Dance With Me (?) …how crazy lol) Absolute ripper tho, been stuck in my head since I found it.
Long time lurker, used to post in the absolutepunk days. Decided to make an account. From the clips we’ve heard of Anthem Pt 3, I think that song is going to rip and will be an instant fan favorite. can’t wait to rank the Anthems.
Listened to the above. “Fell In Love” clip sounds perfect. Gonna ignore it. I’m encouraged enough by what I’ve heard that I think I’m actually gonna go dark on the thread until release day. I don’t wanna read someone saying “it’s just ok” and have that influence my own opinion.
"When We Were Young" is giving me "Mercenaries" vibes in the vibrato-ish delivery (is that what you'd call that?) and I cannot wait.
So what’s best for you, of course. For me, someone saying “it’s just okay” lowers my expectations but allows me to listen without it being overhyped.
I tend to have to do the same thing. I remember reading about the one chord being missed in When I Was Young and I searched for it and overanalyzed it when I finally listened to myself and it kinda ruined it for me. Although I will 100% miss the interactions going on here. Too fun.
