i'm not sure where exactly people found Anthem Part 3's song length, as it's not on itunes. people correctly sussed out that MTYK was going to release yesterday as well because it's song length was also on itunes, but Anthem's isn't. so i'm not certain it's going to be the next single
Being an obsessive fan I was so happy to get such a raw and honest take on their history in a song, but wasn't sure how it would translate to the masses. Looks like its relentlessly crushing. I think the world will tune in for the album premier. This feels like the mountain top to the rising attention of pop punk in the cultural hype since Tickets to my Downfall and on.
My only problem with MTYK is that the chorus isn't the only part of the song and it's not ten minutes long Lol but the chorus is just so good
Blink's "One More Time" and Foo Fighters' "Rest" are the only two songs from rock bands to make me sob, and they both happened months apart.
Just bought the egg splatter vinyl and the weird boxset (I really wanted the shirt and cd). Actually surprised the egg splatter didn’t sell out. I think it’s best looking variant. Is the pink cover the actual artwork?
Yeah, I went with a mini blog post with this one haha. I really just couldn't convey in words when talking to my family and friends how this made me feel while talking to them about the song and/or showing them the music video, so I figured I'd do so here when I had the time to fully compose my thoughts. Who can relate more to these thoughts than the people on Chorus, right? Thanks for reading it all and sharing your thoughts, Rob. And settling for a blink that was just there is a great way to describe going to their live shows throughout Tom's first return. They were fun enough for what they were, but the passion wasn't there and it shows by how they are now playing what could be considered their best run of shows together on this latest tour. Yesterday was a good day and the future is looking bright. I even caved and bought the CD box set today after ordering the CD through Amazon on Monday (already ordered Tom's vinyl last October). The hype is real.
Just heard One More Time on alt1045 in Philly. Woo! sorry if this question was answered already but didn’t we see pics of Travis in First Date costume and such? Am I imagining that? I don’t think that was used for this video so is there another one coming?
It wasn't the same costume, but something from a similar time period. They definitely shot two videos before leaving for this leg of the tour.
Travis had a "fuck disco" shirt or something on as well. i'm thinking that video is going to be Boomer, Spaulding and Travis returning and going through their 80's ''disco is dead, punk is the new thing'' phase. not doing a First Date sequel video would be such a missed opportunity if they don't do it now
Sitting on the couch writing tonight and thinking about how it feels like the written album review is pretty much not a thing anymore. But I hope some people are ready to read a few thousand word essay about a crappy punk rock band
And shocker: Needle Drop put One More Time in his Worst Tracks of the Week list. Dude clearly hates pop punk and if it’s not Death Grips, he doesn’t give two shits.
Had no idea who this dude was so just went on YouTube and had a look. Dude looks like a mid-level barista who's forever "working on a screenplay".
The clown chases whatever will get people mad or talking and hasn’t had an authentic take in his career.
