Can’t believe a song like Bad News exists. Can’t believe most of these songs exist. Album’s such a Blink all timer.
My mom just surprised me with tickets to SPAC date, pretty stoked to see trio and drug church too! Saw them at SPAC on the pop disaster tour like 23 years ago.
Broke this record out on a run last night, it's still top tier for me ... like inching right toward the pantheon/mt rushmore for the entire band's catalog. Feels so new, fun, refreshing, and timeless after a couple years. Like it's been with me forever. Even after 500+ plays I'm not sick of it.
It bothers me from an aesthetic stance that I can’t buy the part 1 vinyl with the proper artwork to match part 2. Maybe they’ll get around to it eventually.
I remember freaking out when people were live commenting about how blink was playing a new song live at the shows last year and it was Can't Go Back. That Part 2 was definitely special. Not holding my breath, but would be really cool if they did a new song debut on this coming tour. Although, my more realistic thought process thinks that they'll use the bulk of next year to record and we'll have something new late-2026 early-2027.
Cant Go Back and All In My Head are the only two deluxe songs I ever return to. (I don't count Cut Me Off or See You as deluxe songs though).
Part 2 works well as its own little album that I still throw on pretty regularly. But yeah overall, I'm still on the same page as everyone else here... that main album holds up incredibly well. I honestly don't think there's a skip track on the entire 27-song deluxe album, and I'm still amazed that they made an album that I enjoy THAT much present day. Especially one with that many tracks.
If I'm listening to Part 2, it's likely because Part 1 just ended in my headphones. I think I pretty much listen to the full 27 every time now unless I'm spinning vinyl.
When we were young is probably my only skip off pt1. Sometimes force myself to listen for that instrumental bridge. But that chorus rhythm makes me feel like I’m having a seizure.
I love this album and I’ve got it tied for 4th place with Dude Ranch. I like the Deluxe songs quite a bit too. I absolutely skip Childhood every time though. Way too slow and the lyrics are way too corny. I hate when a year is mentioned in a song. That song is just a total mess for me. lol But yeah, the album as a whole rules and I’ve yet to get sick of it.
