Like I said before, maybe if we're lucky they might pull a California Deluxe type thing and give us a double album with the first disk being the Digital Deluxe edition and then a second disk of entirely new songs. We'll have to wait and see what they do. Otherwise, I'm just happy that blink-182 is properly back together again and they're having a good time doing it.
I want a deluxe CD with a jewel case instead of a digipack... Already ripped my original CD case sadly
Spotify will often host multiple versions of the same album (ie clean versions, deluxe versions, etc) but only show the main version on the artists page, and the only way to see the others is: 1. Search for them directly 2. Pull up the album on desktop and select the "x other versions" dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen Idk why they do it like that, but that's just how it works.
I think Spotify usually shows a mix of the most relevant and the newest content. I really hate this way of releasing music, is a fucking mess.
I love the bonus tracks and all but when they are integrated into the album, I sort of understand more why bands try to keep their tracklisting to a tight 10-14 songs. For me the 17-19 song tracklisting has a lot of otherwise great songs getting lost in the abundance. Like I usually skip When We Were Young, Edging, Bad News, and More Than You Know. 4 songs that would be bangers on a shorter album get kind of looked over here...at least for me.
I don’t understand why you would skip good songs? Okay, minus Edging kind of. Like, the great songs shouldn’t get lost, weaker songs should.
When We Were Young, Edging, Bad News, and More Than You Know are some of the stronger songs on the album! bad news gives me NFG vibes, i love it!! what are you smoking birdman? I'll have what you are having!
I know it's dumb, but when I am listening to the album front to back I just want to get to Blink Wave and Hurt/Turpentine faster lol. Despite the songs I listed being good in their own right, they are (imo) the weaker songs on the album.
I mean who knows, in a month those 4 songs might be my favorites. But right now I think Anthem 3, Blink Wave, and Turpentine or 3 of the best songs Blink has ever written.
I just can’t imagine skipping Bad News (one of the best on the album) to get to Hurt. I’m speechless haha
Oh man I fucking love Hurt, I was a big big AvA fan so it scratched that itch and I wish it was a full song. And Bad News is definitely a great song, but I find myself skipping it more often than not.
Hurt is fine. I do like it. But it’s barely a song and would not be missed at all if it was cut. Bad News is an incredible Mark song.
It is, I agree. My original point was that on an album this big, I find myself skipping really good songs for even better songs. Like whenever a band releases b-sides that are fucking awesome I always find myself asking why they didn't just put them on the album, and this Blink album sort of answers that question.
I just would much rather get to You Don’t Know What You’ve Got. Terrified is more like Terrifine to me haha
