Man this album keeps on giving. I try to give it some rest but I end up coming back to it every few days and every time it still surprises me.
I remember seeing the track listing before the album release and thinking that “terrified” was going to be a song about cancer. I was wrong.
yeah perpetually psyched on every listen. Picking out new favorite moments every front to back listen.
The bridge of WWWY may be the best thing on here Unfortunately Edging coming after it may be an all time worst sequencing choice
That synth coming in and then sailing over the last chorus is SO good and arguably one of my favorite instrumental choices on the entire album.
Haven't read the last few days so forgive me if this is already a given, but is it far out to say that cut me off may be one of my top songs from the album?
I need to listen to the bonus tracks some more. Have only heard them twice through I think. Nothing really stood out.
Both of the bonus songs did nothing for me on the first few listens. They both got a lot better over time. Cut Me Off is great and has one of the best choruses on the whole album.
Cut Me Off is great. Maybe not an especially innovative song, but the band's definitely doing their thing, and Mark & Tom's vocal deliveries really sell the song for me.
Yeah, both bonus songs are solid and definitely grew on me. I would still say I prefer just about every other album track though but that’s because I love the whole thing lol.
I only listen to the standard edition without bonus tracks, I feel like the regular version is the perfect length and feels pretty expertly crafted in the order it was. Adding the two tracks at the end makes the album feel like it drags at the end
It offends me that they don't even have the regular edition on Spotify, just slapped those two in between Other Side and Childhood. They're definitely B side material to me
Random stranger walks up to Mark Hoppus and slaps him with a white glove. "You have offended me, sir!"
I rotate between the standard and deluxe, but when I play the deluxe the bonus tracks are after Childhood
Looks like they're both there if you search it, if I click on the discography on their artist page, it just shows deluxe as the latest release, hence my confusion I guess lol
