This guy made a bunch of cool little animations with the songs https://instagram.com/klhrdesign?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==
I'll go a handful of days without listening to Turpentine and when I re-listen I am never not blown away. The push and pull of the instrumentation and Tom's vocals is a masterclass in tension and release, and THEN Mark's bridge comes in to completely knock it out of the park. I hope more than anything that they play it on the tour next year.
I still can't believe the lyrics went out incorrect in the booklet for this record...Did the label not even ask the band members to sign off on the final artwork with the lyrics? You'd think if Mark, Tom or Travis took 2 minutes to read through Anthem Pt 3 lyrics they would've realized it was fucked up and fixed it...just odd to me that there wasn't more eyes on the final approved artwork for a release this big..
“I can’t believe a band made famous by running around naked and making dick jokes would have lyric sheets with mistakes on it” will never not be weird to me haha
Like do you guys know what band you like? They probably were to busy making Scott Disick’s life worse, hunting aliens or launching a new line of wacky waving inflatable dick flailing tube men to approve the lyric sheets
I don't get that argument - this band has been on a major label since 1997. If they aren't checking lyrics themselves, someone is getting paid to do it for them. There's no excuses for it. It's not a huge deal at the end of the day, but as someone who appreciates lyrics I like to know I have a correct source and the official lyrics aren't wrong...
I want to say Mark said the label had someone listen to the songs and transcribe what they thought the lyrics were – which seems ... dumb.
I just think it’s weird to on the one hand love a band famous for not taking anything seriously, and then on the other hand say “there is no excuse for having mistakes on lyric sheets”

The lyrics error is just shocking since they’re a big band that has a “machine” behind them. To me, it’s just another logistical thing where you’d think “don’t they have people for this?!” I’d be saying the same thing if they had trouble getting to/from venues on time or if their concert posters had the wrong openers on them. Guess it’s just proof that the machine is dumber than we give it credit for
I mean Mark didn’t even know Travis was singing on Fuck Face. I can’t imagine any of the 3 would care about lyric sheets being correct.
