I kind of get the whole vocals argument because it does feel like Tom dominates, but that's only because Tom has a stronger voice, so it makes sense for him to lead the chorus, etc. It bothered me way more on Neighborhoods because Mark and Tom were very clearly separated by song and it was just very noticeable, but here it's not like Mark isn't there, he's just not the dominant voice. He's still on almost every song doing what makes sense.
I dont have any issue with the singles dropped, but it is surprising to me that the first single after the year break wasn't Anthem Pt. 3. Seems to be getting a huge crowd pop online. Very excited for the inevitable debut. I think it would be a really strong opener in this era. Rocksound at WWWY asked a bunch of bands their favorite blink song and Anthem pt.3 got some good shoutouts by bands.
I wonder if Australia/South America will get a lot of live debuts, or if they're saving those for the Summer Tour.
Yeah, with this album, Mark is signing nearly every chorus along with Tom but he's either just singing harmonies or he's singing in unison an octave lower. It gives them a nice "team-effort" sort of feel each time (the older albums had a lot of shared harmonies too). He also has entire sections of the songs to himself in just about every Tom-led song as well outside of "Terrified". With Neighborhoods, they hardly sang together at all outside of a couple of instances (contrary to what a lot of people believe offhand).

Just got the Blood Records exclusive variant with lenticular cover and is really disappointing. The black and pink vinyl itself is cool, but the lenticular cover is kinda crappy.
I’ll be keeping these two bonus tracks as far away as possible from the one two punch that is OTHER SIDE & CHILDHOOD
Can anyone tell me if it's "my OLD shit ends here tonight" or "my hope shit ends here tonight" Official lyrics in the booklet say "my hope shit ends here tonight" - care to interpret this lyric with me?
here's my interpretation: blink's label does not have a quality control dept. or know what that even is.
and then let AI generate all of the subsequent lyric-based art including lyric book, lyric vids, and even the graffiti on the stall. that's such a colossal fuck up.
Glad my boomer ass spent like 3 hours the other day figuring out how to add the new songs I downloaded to my Spotify playlist. Had no clue they’d be heading to streaming soon.
Two new songs are good but the transition from Otherside to Childhood is one of my favorite aspects of the album
I definitely hear "my old shit." But then again I was convinced the outro was "It's my HIGH, it's my mind all made up this time." But in those Dennys videos Tom is clearly saying "it's my HEAD."
I hear (and think it is) HOPE. My interpretation is that this time he's determined to make it all work, and is done with just hoping it works. Do or do not, there is no try.
