give me neighborhoods any day over anything from skiba blink. the dudes just a giant piece of shit and i cant look passed it. its embarrassing how long they remained associated with him.
Love Neighborhoods / DED & The Skiba era full stop. This feels like a proper spiritual follow-up to where they left off on Not Now in terms of the main blink crew giving it everything they've got firing on all cylinders.
I dragged Edging but I can't deny it is super catchy. Haven't listened to it since it came out yet the chorus still pops up in my head here and there. Just not usually a fan of their sillier side, but I'm glad it came out so they could show they're still able to write stuff like that with Tom again.
Travis' drumming during the verses of MTYK is so good! The double bass on the chorus is unexpected for them and so good! I can totally see them killllllling this song live. They'll definitely be playing this one. I can't imagine them playing "one more time" live though unless they adjust it a little bit.
I don’t want to get super negative, but Neighborhoods is dog shit and embarrassing. Regardless of how much of a piece of shit Skiba may be, the albums are good.
If I recall, he is at best not against Nazi literature. I think? I am sure there is more, but it’s pretty shitty to be open to exploring that stuff.
After Midnight. And ummmm, I’ll give you Natives. Maybe Wishing Well. And Heart’s All Gone. The rest is pretty bad.
Anyone else think these two new tracks are kinda bad, especially the title track? Edging is miles better
Nothing I've heard from the Skiba albums are even close to the best songs from Neighborhoods or Dogs Eating Dogs.
lol band drops two new songs with so much to talk about and we're still doing this ... never change blink-182 thread, never change
Nah. Pin The Grenade. Cynical. Bored To Death. San Diego. No Heart To Speak Of. Left Alone. Darkside. I Really Wish I Hated You. That’s just off the top of my head. But they’re all miles above Neighborhoods and DED.
Or even MH (I'm not going to type out the rest as I never remember it)? Always felt it could've been a discography highlight if Tom featured on it or even had dual vocals, but yeah... the album is full of missed opportunities even if I like it more than most.
I allowed myself to listen to "ONE MORE TIME," but I'm gonna hold off on "MORE THAN YOU KNOW" until the record drops.
