not to blow up his spot but Jason has been gifting me supporter status for a while now due to some of the stuff I was going through in my personal life that left me unable to consistently pay for it and that small gesture has meant the world to me, thanks for reminding me because now I can afford to pay him for real and he deserves every cent
Cut Me Off is a banger and even though it doesn't really sound like it belongs on the same album, I would've happily had it replace Edging. Love the edge / aggression on both Tom and Mark's vocals. In that sense, it nails the specific urgency they have going on this era. See You is solid but definitely feels like a b-side to my ears. I feel like the chorus could be... catchier? I do particularly love how bombastic it feels, especially when the chorus ends and instantly goes back to the main riff. Hats off to Travis again for making the whole thing sound so dynamic.
They’re nice loosies but def feel like b sides. I’ll never complain about more content from this trio tho
the synth on see you is so good, as someone rightfully pointed out earlier. for the first time it feels like when tom’s AVA influence pokes through on the songs it actually works really, really well for me
It’s just so much more restrained and structured. No 2 minute long intros that don’t need it, he’s not rehashing the same exact thing over and over, etc
Has anyone ordered the digital version with these extra tracks and not received it yet? I ordered it like 3 hours ago.
I didn’t even have to go to my email. The download button was right there on the page after I bought it. But I also got an email with the download link.
@Jason Tate 's review getting som love over here https://www.resetera.com/goto/post?id=113866718 (Also a few crazy hot takes there I can't even fathom like "I am very disappointed in this album. Not a single song is going to make it into my rotation. This is below California and neighborhoods.")
