Should have been selling the album in the parking lot of When We Were Young. Warped Tour “check out my band” style
unless they have stems thats not even a remix ugh why are people like this edit: if i understand right this guy is just adding a new master on top of an album that's already mastered. there's no way this sounds good or is necessary.
The album sounds fine. It's a modern rock album produced by a drummer ... of course it sounds like it does. People are stupid.
I love the way the actual album sounds. Reddit finds an issue with every albums mix like it’s not an intentional choice stylistically
Here's one: Can anyone help me with the beanie brand Tom's wearing on the album cover? Not trying to Leo Dehoe this shit, just really like it and wanna get it in a dark colour if doable.
arm chair producers were already bad enough but now they think they can remix albums when they're literally just mastering an already mastered album, completely unaware why that is beyond stupid and is going to make everything sound way worse because any actual producer knows how dumb the entire concept is. man i am pissed lol.
Ugh fine. Sleeve booked in and 7 TTS* shirts on the way. On my way to the Pentagon. I can't tell you.
The same people mad at the mix reference the new Foo Fighter album as being mixed “right” meanwhile that is being argued in that sub for having the same “issues” they have with this. It’s kinda funny. Just a big cycle of chaos now that’s not going back in the bottle.
lol. I have so many issues with this. and anyone saying it sounds “better” in the comments I’m just assuming are playing this on like laptop speakers or something? like … I butchered a live recording to make it sound “better” knowing how little I had access to in the actual dynamics to mess with it and try and pump up the sound. Effectively “mastering” something no one ever mastered. This is taking fully flat audio files, no stems, and just making it an abomination. Just … I … yeah I got nothing anymore lol.
He used adobe atmos to trick his software into recording the stems… then he used AI to separate tracks… and it’s a muddy mess.. How could you possibly think you’re doing the band service by doing this…. And like on top of all that, you’re disrespecting the work and vision the band DID put into the record.
The one song I played sounded like play dough was stuck in my speakers. I … yeah don’t get this or why or … any of it.
