I think it'd be strange if they went with a heavier lineup at this stage in the game. Weren't there rumors at one point about a tour with twenty one pilots? Regardless, I think we're all planning on being there despite whoever ends up on the bill
Alexisonfire will be such a sick pairing, but I gotta imagine there's a larger support act as well (or maybe AOF is just the Canada dates). They're aiming for baseball stadiums in select cities, and 21 Pilots was originally going to be on the bill.
thank you. I did post it in the mental health thread and I think that was the only thread I said what happened. I did allude to it a couple times elsewhere. Never thought blink would put out an album like this. Never thought Tom would be back. For this to all line up the way it did time wise, never could have seen it coming.
Quite digging this, top 5 with a bullet for me are Anthem, Dance With Me, Terrified, Blink Wave, and Childhood. Those are all killer blink tracks that I’d put right up there with some of their best. Also I haven’t googled it yet but what in the fresh hell is turpentine actually lol. That song isn’t grabbing me like it seemingly has for many others but maybe just need some more time with it. Best moments on the album gotta be the second verse of Anthem when Travis pulls back the cut time, or the triple snare/clap hits at the end of each phrase of the Blink Wave chorus. And the ole’s in DWM. All musical crack right there.
Has Alex Melton got his mitts on this album yet? "What if When We Were Young was recorded during Neighborhoods era?" "What if Terrified was actually a Boxcar Racer song?" Ugh.
The only songs Tom doesnt sing the chorus is otherside+bad news. He pretty much sings all the rest. He has to make up for the absence.
Agreed. I like the amphitheater vibe, but every single time I go, it's a huge pain getting out of there. My life hack for Ridgefield is to do whatever you can to get in the middle lane, or whichever one it is that isn't directed to I-5 south. Once you cross the bridge, turn right and let your GPS get you down to the next on-ramp. I'd have to say it saved me about 45 min of waiting last time I left a show there. The whole idea is to get away from that I-5 South line ASAP. Absolutely nothing will touch how awful it was getting to and from that Seattle show @ Climate Pledge Arena. F*** that. I don't want to see another show there, and I'll take Moda any day over CPA.
