Convinced my wife to listen to this today while she was out running errands. She said liked DANCE WITH ME, FELL IN LOVE and BAD NEWS but didn’t care for much else. She’s already back to her annual October run through of the Alkaline Trio discography.
Legit tear up still listening to OMT (track). And continue the tears when MTYK comes on because we don’t deserve to have a blink song that good in 2023. Absolutely insane. Almost wished I hadn’t listened to it a couple of times before album release, but still so fresh. Still can’t pick my favorite. All of them have killer moments.
I still like Neighborhoods. It was my first blink album I got to experience as a fan as a sophmore in high school so I actually have a soft spot for it. It's just that in hindsight, especially after hearing this album, they were clearly not at their best at the time and could've done better.
Since we got a blink album that Tom actually firmly cared about again, I can safely say I'll never listen to Neighborhoods again If I could block an album on Spotify, I would. I'm gonna see if I can return my cd to Best Buy.
Haha I was just throwing some bait out there, but yeah it's honestly not one of my favorites on there
At the end of Blink Wave, do they phase out the song with the same synth they use in all the small things?
Wishing Well, This is Home, Snake Charmer, and Love is Dangerous have been removed from my Neighborhoods playlist.
I've listened to Dance With Me so many times after it was released and it just never gets old. Even around all of the new songs I was hearing during my first listen. What a great one-two punch to open the album. All gas.
I'd probably rank both Skiba albums above Neighborhoods at this point, since blink was clearly holding out on us back in 2011 haha
Wow, I really thought this album would move more than that. You never know, they are headlining a nostalgia festival 2 days in a row this weekend to 170,000 people. Could give a slight bump in projections.
