Figured it wasn't just me that had this thought. I was going to say we got Anthem, Pt. 3 and Tiny Voices, Pt. 2 today but I like this better.

 

I really wish they kept Edging off the record. It breaks up the flow in my opinion and doesn’t gel well with the record IMO

 

Went on a run and stopped by both Target and Best Buy. Two strike outs. Went home and listened to the vinyl again. I can't decide which song is my favorite, it keeps switching.

 

Hurt sounds so much like a chorus from a cheesy 90’s era adult contemporary song but I can’t fucking figure it out.

Made the mistake of looking at the Instagram comments on blink's page. People claiming it's basically neighborhoods? Wth??

 

I remember the poster with the video said the actors were being shot mostly in silhouette on the beach, idk I think that could be pretty fitting with Childhood's vibe.

but I think Blinkwave would be a good choice for a single/video too. accessible, fun and great earworm chorus.
Anthem Part 3 is sick but I'm not sure how good a song like that would do as a single. pop punk might be "in" again, but I feel like Anthem is probably a bit too skate punk-y fast and a little aggressive compared to the more "Tiktok" pop punk sound that does well atm.

- Intro is Violence intro
- Verse is Watch the World verse
- Chorus is Tiny Voices chorus

If Tom had tried to revive that BCR song for Neighborhoods he either would've totally botched it, or it would've been the best song on the album. Not sure which lol

Has their strongest bridge lyrics since Stockholm Syndrome which is an all timer

 

My wife thinks TURN THIS OFF! is hilarious and very catchy which is a welcomed, but very surprising development.

 

I can tell Travis was channeling Jerry Finn. Especially how he made Tom and Mark sound with their vocal distortion. A lot of Tom sounds like Jerry Finn era and parts even sounds like dude ranch era.
