Ok, making sure there's nothing in the email I should be posting ... then one last read through and hitting publish.
WELLLLCOMMMMMEEE, TERRRRRIFIED! Last night my girlfriend and I had to run an errand, and I had just gotten her to watch the Zane interview, so even though we didn't have time to listen to the whole album, she wanted me to hit play on it for our five minute drive. She ended up making us listen to Anthem Pt. 3 two times in a row, and then we took the long way home to listen to some more, and we drove by a house where through the window we could see someone watching Reno 911. The time traveling effect of this album is real.
Here to reiterate what everyone in the thread keeps saying; "No one gave a fuck that you died" hits so fucking hard. My only gripe with Anthem Pt. 3 is that the second drum fill sounds really awkward to me? Feels like it comes in a beat later than I'm expecting it and ends a bit early.
Must have listened to Anthem Part 3 20 times now and I've only just realised how hard Travis goes on it
So I know fuck face is only 27 seconds but I feel like h2o should get a writing credit from their song talk too much.
Review: Blink-182 – One More Time… Call it a review, an essay, a love letter, or just a mess of words trying to work out how this band helped shape our lives.
This album is so good! I had high expectations for a second reunion (have to make it worth doing it again) but this feels like the start of a whole new rejuvenated era of the band! I met my fiancée in 2011 between the release of Up All Night and Neighborhoods, through a friend that knew we both loved blink-182. Now in 2023, I get One More Time... like 3 days before we have our first kid.. this band has definitely got a hold on me, Blink life 4 life!
Been trying to listen to Terrified with the original BCR narrative in mind, and it almost reads to me like it’s picking right up after the main character jumps to his death in Elevator… and being brought into the afterlife… Just my interpretation, but man that’s nutssss.
judging every album by whether or not it’s your album of the year is one of the worst modern trends in music listening and it makes me want to tear my fucking hair out
pretty good album but it’s not the best thing I’ve ever heard so idk gonna have to file this one under do not praise
Just read this with my morning coffee while listening to the album, and it definitely hit hard. Thank you for putting so much heart into this review and giving the album the write-up it deserves. Excellent work.
