Idk about anyone else but what I always personally find interesting is how many people come out of the woodwork to publicly defend these people, just exposing their true colors for everyone to see. Wild.

As someone who doesn't listen to Neck Deep I really don't have a horse in this race, I just found it entertaining that the same people jumping down this guy's throat financially support this website, which promotes Neck Deep's music.

 

since the weird "depressed piece of shit" post, i only see two people in this thread that financially support this website - oldjersey and myself. neither of us "jumped down this guy's throat" and if i'm not mistaken neither of us even mentioned neck deep in our posts. but sure, continue posting the same untrue comments.

as far as this site "promoting" neck deep's music...it really doesn't. users submit news and those items are often posted. that's not the same as promotion. i haven't seen any chorus staff encouraging people to listen to neck deep and i don't believe i have ever seen any sponsored neck deep advertisements on the site either.

 

They literally posted a news article within the last week promoting the band's new single...

 

Still doesn’t erase the fact that your original statement was entirely wrong. No supporter of the site “jumped down that dude’s throat” about Neck Deep.

 

yes, there was a news post in the last week saying that the band had a video for a song. i’m not arguing that, please reread what i wrote.

 

This similar situation happened with the band with con, and that was because Jason didnt know all of the information. Probably the same case here, he doesnt frequently check the threads neck deep is mentioned in so if you tell him that they have an abuser in the band he'll probably deal with the promos

 

That could be the case. Regardless of calling out individual posters, all I'm saying is that its more than a bit contradictory to be critical of Neck Deep as abusers and then literally give your money to a website who promotes them (and yes, posting a news article announcing their new single and linking to their socials is promotion).

Most people criticizing Neck Deep do not financially support this website, so please use a different argument from now on.

I'm not going to call out individual posters. Take a look in the last few pages of this thread, the news article thread that was posted last week and really any thread that mentions the band if you need to see supporters of this website being critical of the band as abusers.

A better use of this energy you all seem to have might be to ask whether Chorus should be promoting Neck Deep.

 

So now the goalposts have shifted out of this thread and the current conversation. Got it.
