Soooo hard to narrow this down

 

I've been trying to make a "Best of Blink" CD for the past week or so for my car for times when I forget my iPod and I've been having trouble cutting songs from it, I'm stuck at like 30 songs and need to cut at least 10 minutes from it haha.

Hot take: I'm not a huge fan of Not Now. I think it's a fine song, I don't hate it by any means but I'm not sure it would be in my top 30 or so songs. Although I do think it sounded good live with Skiba.

 

Yeah it was fun! I did kind of miss Tom's "Tomness" though, but at least the band sounded great, and Matt deserves all the love fans have been giving him.

 

It's probably top 5 for me, haha. Love that song!

 

Yeah I know it's a fan favorite, it's my best friend's favorite Blink song and he's so mad it was left off the untitled album. Again I think the song is fine, if it comes on when I'm randomly listening to Blink songs I won't skip it but I don't think I ever thought to myself, I need to put on and listen to Not Now.

There's very few Blink songs I will skip if they come on though.

 

Probably not a top 30 for me either. I really wanted to hear it on the tour just because of how great it sounded with Skiba in vids I saw before.

Yeah I wanted to hear it live too since I had never before, so it was definitely cool to see/hear.

Surprised about all the singles being on these top 10 lists. Maybe they do know what they're doing with that boring setlist after all!

 

They are one of the bands that have amazing choices for singles.

 

Why are you surprised? Their singles are pretty great songs for the most part.

Their set lists have never been geared towards the hardcore fans, it's always been their singles being played. They said it numerous times that they think about the new fans who are seeing them for the first time and being bummed out that they didn't play All the Small Things for example.

I know I said it before in this thread that I'm bored of hearing songs like First Date and Down but First Date at my show got a huge reaction and it was actually fun to hear again live with the crowd going crazy and singing along. Down sounded great too.

Basically no matter what Blink or any band really plays there's going to be people complaining about the set list unless they play for 4 hours.

 

Idk this is my favorite show they've ever played (I was there!!!) and there's no way I could complain about this set

I've done my fair share of complaining about First Date and wishing they'd axe it but it easily got the biggest reaction at my show, it sounded the best I've heard it live, and yeah it was fun to see. So what do I know? Haha.

I'm in this weird spot where I don't want Tom back, but I also don't think this album is very good. I love Matt Skiba, I love(d) most of what Mark and Travis did, but I just don't like this record. I suppose as far as I'm concerned, blink ended on Untitled (at least that's when I stop listening to the discog.)

 

I could complain lol. No TOYPAJ songs? Still, Untitled in full is almost unbeatable, playing TOYPAJ songs on top would just be too much to handle.

 

We were at the same show. I was absolutely surprised at how big of a reaction it got.
