I never ever ever listen to Flyswatter. Because it's shitty. If you don't realize that, you're not a true fan of decent music. Haha.

 

Yeah I listened to it once and have no idea how I finished it. Between the terrible sound quality and bad songs its just not good at all.

Listening to California after a while. I overplayed this album so much, it's hard getting back to it constantly like I used to a couple of months ago. Rabbit Hole is still a jam though.

 

I have been having this problem, too. I listened to the album so much initially and now I rarely return to it.

 

Went through a phase of listening to California a lot but now that the dust has settled it's nowhere near as memorable as Enema, TOYPAJ or self-titled.

Good effort for sure, but missing that blink-182 touch just the same as DED and Neighborhoods did.

I regularly go back to San Diego, Cynical, Teenage Satellites and California. The rest have been forgotten.

 

I've still been playing it a LOT. But I mix in the older stuff too.

 

Just asking since people go on about why he's doing Tom led songs. In my eyes he should get some say in what they play. Either stuff he like(d) or enjoys playing.

I selfishly wished they had played different California songs.

 

The summer hype is fading fast.

I would assume that he does have some say in what they play in regards to the Tom songs. I don't understand why people would think he'd sing Mark songs.

I agree I do wish they played more/different California songs. I bet their next US tour they will.

Its probably part of his legal agreement to avoid saying anything about the band or their releases.

The agreement likely goes something like this: Tom says nothing in public about Blink 182, Blink 182 continues to be a thing and can tour/release under this name, and Tom continues to get some financial kick-backs.

 

Except Tom has made weird videos of himself singing Blink-182 songs in his car and stuff.

 

Either that, or Tom is doing like mark did during some interviews and making it a stipulation that there isn't any questions about California

 

Assuming that they are pre-California songs, I do not see a reason this wouldn't be allowed.

Given that he helped create them and that he is just signing I'm not sure any legal action could be taken.

 

Tom talked about Blink the day after Bored to Death leaked on his FB page. Since then he hasn't talked about anything having to do with California, the new tour, new member or new songs. He still mentions the band by posting pictures and videos and still does interviews where he says he didn't quit the band to go and chase aliens while promoting his other projects. He also posted a few things on Twitter mentioning that he and Travis should go to a water park together or just saying hi to Travis basically silly stuff like that.

I doubt he would ever make a formal post or mention about album in public. It's just a no win situation for him. If he says he loves it it means that Blink doesn't need him anymore (which is debatable) and if he says he thinks its just ok or hates it he would come off looking butt hurt. So it's best he just keeps quiet, for now anyway.

I would love to know what type of legal settlement they all made together though, obviously it's none of our business but to say it would be interesting to know/read up on is an understatement.
