Tonight's the night and I'm losing my mind. Never seen Blink. I'm hoping for a good setlist!

 

Who's going to Mansfield on 8/19? Should we do some sort of Chorus meet-up/pre-game?

 

Took the day off from work! Planning on being there as soon as gates open

Without looking at a setlist (I don't want it to be spoiled!) are there enough "Greatest Hits" songs for my girlfriend to enjoy or is it mostly California with a few oldies?

 

Mostly greatest hits with a couple of new

 

all the hits minus 2 or 3, maybe. she'll be happy.

 

Sometimes I wish this band had the mentality of fuck the casual fans once in a while.

Came across this online and I've never seen it before till now. Decent watch I liked the end where Travis says he'd love to regroup every year and write an album in a different style with a new name. If only that did happen...

Still super weird to play a really AVA sounding song that was almost all Tom according to Mark. Play a Mark song in that slot! Other than M+Ms idk why every time they wanna add a deep cut its a Tom song.

 

I really hope they bust out Pathetic eventually. Skiba could nail those harmonies.

 

I don't get it either. Maybe Skiba really like them?

 

I always felt like that was the most blinkish song on that album tbh lol.

 

Seems like they've fully ditched Always on this tour now which depresses me. If I get Not Now and San Diego, I'll forgive them though.

 

Skiba sounded sooooo good on Always. On all of the untitled songs, really.

 

How much faster would you guys say the songs are on The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show compared to their recorded versions? I think it's essentially something like 1.3 times as fast but that's just a rough guess. Trying to speed up some of their songs from later albums and see how they play.

 

Yeah I think he fits right in on all those songs too.

 

I would say the constant overemphasis on never alienating the casual fans is my biggest gripe with them. A lot of bands are like that to a degree, but Blink seems particularly insecure about it and it makes things pretty samesy sometimes.

It always confused me that they ditched this one and never brought it back. The alternating vocals work so well live.
