Couldn't agree with you more. Have severe distaste for all things design wise (t-shirts, album covers, website) since after untitled.

 

Am I imagining this or have they removed the hyphen from their name? If so, I wonder if that's how they can get around not having to bill themselves as blink-182 with Matt Skiba.

 

Any artwork is better than the DED EP's art. I also don't reeeeeally care what the album looks like. I just want it to sound great.

 

Their Instagram name is now blink182 with no hyphen either.

 

Probably a label decision. Labels are weird. Vagrant made Thrice's and Dustin Kensrue's twitter handles all CAPS. It might be a thing that the label thinks it'd be easier to type in.

Neverrrrr I love ded's art. I only disliked the way blink-182 was drawn.

 

Oh that would be an awesome loophole. I have to imagine they licensed both blink-182 and blink 182. Probably blink182 too.

Well, they just changed their name to "blink-182" from "Blink-182" on Facebook a few months ago. I think you guys are looking too far into this lol.

 

That one website says BMG, so probably one of the labels that BMG owns.

I was looking around and the only fit I see based on the ones they own is either Rise or Vagrant lol.

I'd say that this is part of the album art, not the single art. Uploading several photos on Instagram in order to reveal the cover of a single feels like a bit too much. Most singles don't even have a specific cover. And when they have, they are usually forgotten pretty quickly. (At least that's my opinion)

I am hoping that we'll get a release date, tracklist and full cover the day the single comes out.

 

It's their first single in years so it's definitely a possibility

I love the BCR sound which led to my favourite blink release. Just I have never been a fan of AvA and I still remain put off them to this day.

I was so stoked to hear the new Tom project after blink broke up the first time around and I remember being in high school eagerly awaiting to get home and switch MTV on for the premiere of The Adventure. I was literally so disappointed with the U2 copycat sound and the music video of Tom running through a field stroking flowers...I mean it's definitely up there with one of the worst moments in music for me especially with what followed...a lot of mediocre music from Tom. I guess it just makes me sad that there was a time that anything he touched musically was the soundtrack to many of our younger years.

 

Okay I'm happy with that for a single but not digging it as an album cover.
