both songs are great in different ways. they're really incomparable.

 

I agree. I LOVE Daisy but I don't think I'll ever come around to this song.

Bored To Death is 1000x better to me.

 

I like Bored to Death more as well, but I enjoy the new BN song more than anything released since TDAG.

 

DAISY is one of my most played albums since 2013. I didn't really love it at first back in 2009, but in 2013, it clicked for me.

 

Oh for sure. I'm not the biggest Brand New fan anyway (though I was just listening to TDAG on the way home today), so I'm not sure what it was that hit me so hard about it. Be interesting in a couple of weeks, after a few more listens of each, which I'll prefer I think.

 

They released Up All Night, Heart's All Gone and After Midnight before Neighborhoods dropped. So hopefully we'll get one or two more songs before july 1st.

 

Has Mark called into a radio station in the past couple days? I need more hype! or a new song. or the album to leak, as much as I hate to say it, but July 1st is so close, yet so far

Listened to the Feldmann podcast again today, and while I really enjoyed it, I wish they would've gone more in depth about the recording process and given more stories and stuff. I hope Mark does one with at least Travis and Matt closer to the album release that really gets into it

 

I know there's been very mixed reaction on this song. Just posted by blink to their youtube for all you diehards.

 

While I'm not loving this song as much as I had hoped I would, I still like it. Because damn, that guitar riff and chorus are catchy as hell.

 

It's actually a shame that guitar riff is used up on a 15sec song


I'm okay with story arc videos not being in fashion these days. But I do like a very well shot live music video like
30Sec To Mars - closer to the edge or city of angels

Actually now I've written that all of those arty 30STM clips I could watch over and over
Hurricane, up in the air, kings and queens

I hope the purpose of recording stuff is for more than little clips like that. It would be awesome to get a BTS dvd with the EP they've talked about later.

 

After watching all of these videos, matts guitar tone is just smarter and better than Toms. It's beefy and not as tinny. Makes such a difference in their live sound.

Not to mention that he actually plays tighter too.

 

Tom's guitar tones have seriously been the worst the last decade plus. Ever since he got his signature Gibsons.

 

I don't get why his tone sounds so bad live because I actually have his signature Gibson and the thing sounds fantastic.

totally agree. my favorite bands release a video these days and I just keep on scrolling

 

Ideally, I'd want them to release a 2nd single before July, then release a deeper cut that offers some fan service/nostalgia. Something that won't be an official single.
