    18 days.

I love this feeling. Like Christmas-like anticipation. New effing blink.

I don't think I get this way for any other band, seriously. I felt the same way for Neighorhoods, but this feels so so different in a good way.

Listening to the single a total of 3 times and then holding out for the album until release day. Buying it in store right when the open in my blink shirt/hat

Gotta say I'm the opposite! I want an old school vibe.

I don't care much for Blink nowadays - I think the drama that surrounded this band over the years just left me feeling disconnected and disenchanted with the entire situation. In saying that, I'm always going to be interested in hearing a new album because despite never being in my upper echelon of favourite bands, nostalgia is a powerful thing and they were a significant part of my youth.

On the topic of Neighborhoods, it's difficult for me to completely dismiss that record. I have a mate who is a massive Blink fan (he has the logo tattooed on his chest), and we met up to listen to the album together for the first time. "Ghosts On The Dance Floor" came on and he just went mental. Seeing the excitement, happiness and exhilaration that new Blink material brought him was pretty fantastic. If I took the nostalgia out of the equation though, I imagine I'd see that album in a very different light.

Monday for sure. I think 2 weeks before a single release is probable. If not Monday, at least the next Monday. Like a week at most until we get some form of an announcement.

I know it's high hopes but it would be amazing to get a making the album documentary to make up for the blinkumentary that never saw the light of day

I agree 100% with you. I would much rather hear improvement and growth in their sound than a nostalgic comeback to their roots.

Same here. If I want to hear old generic pop-punk, I can go back and revisit their earlier stuff.

A single, tour announcement and album details next week would be so, so good. I'm on a stag do at the end of April and don't want to miss all the excitement! (Already missing seeing Civil War the day it comes out..)

Enema and TOYPAJ were in no way generic.

Expecting something more like Untitled than Enema. It's amazing to think how long ago these albums were. The +44 album was 10 years ago.

I can't imagine anything worse than them going back to the Enema/TOYPAJ sound, it will just confirm that their best days are far behind them along with their relevance as a band

Well, it's already been said from the people that have heard the new songs that it sounds like a combination of Untitled and TOYPAJ, but overall, sounding completely fresh. Going by all those descriptions, I don't think they're gonna be regressing.

I've gotten to the point where I just simply can't move forward with my life until I hear a song

You guys think we'll hear the new song before that radio add date of May 3rd?

Mark said April. So I'm sticking to the April 26 date.

This makes zero sense to me. Music is entirely subjective and "progression" is a fallacy. What's progression to you may be regression to me. Music is music, and if these guys want to play an Enema/TOYPAJ sound and they are happy doing so, the notion that by doing so their best days are behind them is completely unfounded.

I think everyone puts out songs before the official radio date but Up All Night was heard for the first time on radio so not sure. I think April though

Well, their last two releases already suggest that their best days are long gone. It doesn't help that Mark's songs on Neighborhoods were the weakest on the record. And then on DED he didn't even take the lead on a single song... Tom gets a lot of hate these days but he wrote the best blink material post-hiatus lol. Yet we're supposed to believe that Mark can take the band forward on his own? I know that Skiba is helping with the songwriting but I'm guessing that Mark will more or less be the frontman since he's a familiar face to blink fans.

Anyway, I don't have a lot of hope for this new album as it is, but if they revert back to a sound they were doing over a decade ago, I can't even begin to describe how boring that would be to me.

Their last 2 releases were clearly very uninspired efforts and the product of a poor situation. I don't think it's fair whatsoever to use those to suggest Mark can't write an above average record anymore.
