My idea was to sub Fallen Interlude out for Not Now.

 

Perfect ! What about the Stockholm interlude ?

 

Well, it's usually just considered part of Stockholm on the track listing isn't it? So just don't count it. Or sub it for Another Girl Another Planet. Greatest hits technically I know, but for some reason I always lump it into the Untitled era

 

If we were doing a full discography tournament I won't place Fallen Interlude above quite a bit of other songs. Also, don't count Stockholm Syndrome Interlude as a thing as it isn't even listed in the track list

 

Not Now should definitely be included and I rescind my vote for Apple Shampoo for that as best blink song. I like the idea of including the cover songs too.

Yeah I wouldn't count the SS Interlude. I think only iTunes listed it as such. I think you should just use track listings off the actual physical albums.

 

Did they ever release a studio version or just that one off live version from the MTV Cure show?

Also they recorded a studio version of Hope, right?

 

they haven't recorded studio versions of either of those songs, unfortunately. i'd kill for a studio recording of the Cure cover though.

 

Also my vote would be to do each album and then the winners of those songs put in a tournament and see which song wins.

I would also do a separate tournament for songs like Man Overboard, Not Now, Another Girl and B side songs that never made it on to an official non Greatest Hits album. And have DED and They Came To Concur Uranus EPs as a joint EP tournament.

 

Are you sure with Hope? I have it on my iPhone and it sure as hell sounds like Tom singing. I know back in the Napster days a lot of songs got labeled wrong.

And yes totally agree with a proper Elise recording. In fact I think the cover of that Misfit song, I forget the name off the top of my head, they did in 2013 for a few shows sounded pretty cool and wish they recorded that as well.

There is a recording but i think its just a live recording off the sound board

 

Maybe top two or three from each album though, because I think some albums have several songs that would beat out even the winner of another album.

 

Yeah I mean there's no perfect way to do something like this, I think just voting for 1 song on each album probably makes the most sense otherwise we could get stuck with a final/championship match up being two songs from the each album.

 

Hey at least it's better than their Good Times cover. Yikes.

 

Might be a nerd, but I've actually done this with all of blink's songs. Printed out a bracket and listened to both songs in a row and then voted.

My final four was Not Now, Feelin This, Stockholm Syndrome, and either All the Small Things or WMAA? I can't remember. I did it before California came out. It was fun but definitely not something I told my friends haha.

BLINK-182 MADNESS 2: UNTITLED ROUND UP

This will play out much like the CALIFORNIA ROUND UP, where everyone will vote on the participants of a match each day, I will tally it at the end of the day or the time I specified the day before. I will only vote if it is to break a tie, winners will advance to the next round until we have a winner. To make the brackets work and so nobody got a bye, I had to include The Fallen Interlude, as well as Another Girl, Another Planet(While not technically an Untitled song, it was on the greatest hits and some consider it a song of that era. Same as how Man Overboard is part of the Enema era). Its debatable, but hey I am running this thing I can do it if I want :D. Anyway, allow me to present the match ups!

I usually listen to the songs up that day and make my pick. That's what I did with California in case I needed to tie break

Yeah this will be tough. Every song on Untitled is a top tier blink song. It's not like all the throwaways that were easy in the California ranking
