I think that's code for the song is too short? But yeah I agree with you, I don't get that criticism either.

 

ha the chorus is my least favorite part of the song. especially the first line, the tune just doesn't resonate with me at all

God that is a hard one, but this is what I want blink in 2016 (and now 2017) to sound like.

 

Yeah, the chorus is awful and overall it's one of the weakest songs on the album

 

San Diego... that is was hard!

 

Los Angeles, then The Only Thing That Matters & Cynical are tied

 

So....is that a vote for Cynical I guess???

Oh, didn't realize there was a multi-page vote going on narrowing things down for a vote, my bad. Yes, Cynical is miles better than San Diego. San Diego doesn't even sound like it has the same level of production as other tracks on the album.

My drummer came up with it since we wanted something simple. Turns out it looks straight out of the Fifth Element. Haha. Thank you!

 

I have to say something about HISALP. I like the song, because I can relate to it. I am with my girl since 5 years now and in these 5 years we have been in different places a lot. I am an academic historian, she's a journalist. I went to live in LA for many months in 2014 and 2015, she went to Israel some time after I came back. Now, both back in Germany we live in different cities and only see each other on weekends. Constant train rides. But even then, I am on research Trips quite often, she is working on many weekends. I just got off skype. I am in Poland right now for research. Distance is a strange thing. It is working really great though, but..yeah, home is such a lonely place sometimes.

Corny as hell, but this is why I connected with this song.

 

Thanks for sharing. Real life isn't corny!

This is how Blink in 2017 should sound. Hard choice since I love San Diego as my favorite song on the album, but I have to give it to Cynical.
