That's a sweet line up. Damn, RIP Tony. Brilliant songwriter.

It was bittersweet because it seemed like The Starting Line had way more people there to see them, with NUFAN taking a bit of a dip in terms of crowd interest. They still got the room going though. I mostly wanted to see NUFAN, but Sum had just released Does This Look Infected, so it was good times.

I looked up that show. I forgot that Authority Zero came out before Starting Line. What an era.

  4. 2000: Blink-182 (the Mark, Tom, and Travis Show)
2002: Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Rufio (this show was at a tiny venue and was only $10)
2002: Box Car Racer, The Used, H2O
2005: Armor For Sleep, Say Anything, Recover
2009: Jimmy Eat World's hometown Clarity anniversary show
2015: Rock in Rio Las Vegas (Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, etc.)

Those are some of my favorite shows that I can think of off the top of my head

Pop Disaster Tour with blink and Green Day will probably never be topped for me. Also playing that day was Good Charlotte, Unwritten Law and Sugarcult. More bands played too but I can't remember all of them.

I also saw NFG play a small club show in CT right after they released Catalyst and there was maybe 200 people there and they played over 30 songs, it was great.

Pop Disaster was good and bad... good because it was blink/GD/Jimmy Eat World and I was in the front pushed up against the barricade. Bad because I was introduced to the fact that blink was pretty bad live in comparison to GD.

  7. it was a solid lineup for a tour, for sure. but i didn't know JEW very well at that time (which boggles my brain now haha) and Green Day blew my favorite band (Blink) out of the water, so it was just a really confusing show for me. Like, I didn't even really want to stay for all of Blink after Green Day played, haha. and i didn't even really like Green Day's music that much. so yeah, that show was weird for me...

Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I've never had a problem with how Blink sounded live. To be fair though they sound better live now though lol

Seeing BCR live was the first time I realized Tom sucked. Unbelievably sloppy playing and it sounded like he sang with the mic inside his mouth the whole time, but the show was fun bc they were all into it. You could just see the passion haha. Plus, the crowd was into it as well. Buncha angry 14/15/16 year olds screaming every word haha.

I got used to his live performances and actually came to find it as part of Blinks charm. But I remember going to an AvA concert for Love and taking some phone videos, and when I showed them to my older brother who had gotten into AvA he was like "My god was he sick or something?" Lol nope. And then when I saw blink with Skiba last year I was like "...you mean these songs can sound actually good live?!"

It definitely is apart of their charm haha. Crazy how that works. Not many bands are worth seeing more than once when they can't translate their songs well live on stage.

Radio 104 fest year? I might be mixing two years up because I think Blink headlined 104 fest twice, with the respective tours being the headline bill or whatever. I think Goldfinger played one of those years actually too.

Was that NFG catalyst show at the webster theatre in Hartford? If so, I was there too.

This is tough, and my timelines will probably be wrong:

2002-2003? American Nightmare - Memphis, TN
opening bands were Every Time I Die and My Chemical Romance (maybe 45 people at the show)

2002-2003? Against me - Memphis, TN-
maybe 20 people there (they were in town recording As the Eternal Cowboy)

2002 Further Seems Forever - Memphis, TN
basement show the night of my 16th birthday

    2004-2005? Blink 182 - Cleveland, Ohio
with No Doubt in Ohio at some big stadium

    2011? Glassjaw - Memphis, TN
Small venue show maybe 200-250 folks there

    2011? NFG -Memphis, TN
Small venue show maybe 200-250 people there (they had a request box and ONLY played songs that we requested)

  16. I also went to that home town clarity show! Went to the LA and PHX dates actually. Such a rad show. That goodbye sky harbor in full was amazing.

Yeah blink head lined 104 Fest in 2001 and 2002, which was the Pop Disaster Tour. I don't think/remember Goldfinger at either show but you could be right.

Yeah the NFG show was at the Webster. Such a great concert that night.

    I'm flailing now.

I forgot about the reunion show at Irvine Meadows with Blink/Weezer headlining. Awesome show.

Frightened Rabbit deserves to be on the list. Saw them back in 2013. Great show with a ton of energy.

Happy to see 311 made someone's list. They are a staple show for me every summer.

My favorite show I've ever been to was Lagwagon, Yellowcard, and Rufio at a tiny little club called The Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas. Lagwagon and Rufio were my two favorite bands, but I had never even heard of Yellowcard (this was pre-Ocean Avenue just by a few months, I think). They quickly blew up and also joined my list of favorite bands.

Sadly, I never even saw blink until after the reunion. I think I had fallen off with them a little bit by the time I was old enough to go to shows and then they broke up shortly after.

I never was the biggest GC fan, but a friend took me to a show of them once and it was incredibly much fun and I was impressed by their performance.

Kinda like a reverse blink experince :D

Have you heard more than just the two songs released? Those two songs are better than anything they have released since Coming Home, I'm pretty excited to hear the rest of the album.
