I loved Tidal Wave a lot. Holy Water is a career highlight for TBS IMO.

I live in Kentucky and the weather has went from 80 and sunny to like 20 and snowy and back to sunny in a 2 week span, so I have been all over the place music wise.

Radiohead - Hail To The Thief/In Rainbows
The Hotelier - Home, Like No Place Is There/Goodness
Brand New - Devil And God/Daisy/Leaked Demos
Death Cab For Cutie - Plans
TBS - Where You Want To Be
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead/Self Titled
The Cure - Greatest Hits/Acoustic Hits
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica
    J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive/4 Your Eyez Only
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid. Maad City/To Pimp A Butterfly
    Earl Sweatshirt - Doris/ I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
    Turnover - Peripheral Vision
    Ryan Adams - Self Titled/Prisoner

I listen to a lot of music. Haha

Outstanding question. I've been short plenty of new bands to listen to for about 18months now and only really been listening to new albums by old groups (blink, sum, amity, bmth, good charlotte, yellowcard) or artists I'm seeing tour soon (Dixie chicks, zac brown, pvris)

Some new ones I've enjoyed that don't fit into the old faithfuls above are

    - avalanche city (indie band from New Zealand)
    - asgeir (iceland, RIYL Bon iver)
    - dan sultan (Australian blues rock)
    - bear tooth (us melodic hardcore)
    - illy (Australian hip hop)
    - the wombats (U.K. Indie rock dance)
    - d at sea (aust punk acoustic RIYL this wild life)
    - sleepsmakeswaves (post-hardcore RIYL explosions)
    - frank Carter & the rattlesnakes (UK hardcore)
    - hellions (aust melodic harcore)
    - marshmello (RIYL skrillex)
    - trophy eyes (aust heavy pop/punk)

I was on a massive Cure and Smiths kick 6months ago during winter when the Cure toured and saw a Smiths cover band. Was sooo good. Might dip back in.

Spun a lot of older bands last year
    - midnight oil
    - black sabbath
    - crowded house

Don't know if you would be into this kind of music, but this is the band I have been getting my friends into lately. This is the first song from their newest album.

If you like it, check out Peripheral Vision, which is their newest album.

Bought tickets to see The Cure last year in Atlanta for me and my now ex girlfriend who broke up with me the day I surprised her with tickets, so I never made the trip and regret it now.

I'll give it a listen. Driving to pub soon so I'll spin it on ride and give my review. Cheers

Spewin!!! That's such a bummer of a story in multiple facets!

Yeah it was great. I always liked their greatest hits, but I got the tickets not sure if they'd be old and fat, but Rob looked great and they all sounded note perfect. Was 3hrs and I barely noticed.

I would kill to go back and see it. I saw the set list for the show I was supposed to be at, and it depressed the hell out of me. Haha.

I hope you enjoy Turnover man!

Body jar opened the first time I saw Blink live. I was not impressed.

Never seen them before but I hear they're pretty sloppy. I love their albums.

Their song "Fairytales" is a good example of that really fast pop punk like "Parking Lot", but from a band who actually does it well.

New tour starts tonight, should be interesting to see what the set list might look like and if they're really planning on switching things up. They also still have a big gap in April to May where they aren't playing any shows, I wonder if a new announcement for new dates will be soon too.

  16. I know someone in the tour thread said that they are supposed to be doing 3 club shows in Philly.

Yeah there are rumors going around that they are going to tour the East coast before heading off to European. Mark was even asked if they were going to tour the East Coast and he said in the spring. So I guess we'll see.

  18. And I wonder if they do small clubs if they will be playing California in it's entirety.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Those Philly shows could possibly be in August, surrounding Lollapalooza on 8/4, when they get back from Europe and are heading home.

Yeah that was something I believe Travis said in an interview.

I'll see you again in 25 years Prestigious

Or if they'll play old stuff they normally wouldn't. Either way the set would be unique to those shows for sure
