Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I saw AVA in Atlanta in literally a hollowed out old cathedral that got turned into a small concert venue. Was very close right but they sounded terrible lol. It was around Love pt1

I mean it's Tom so I wasn't expecting a brilliant performance or anything but I thought he sounded fine. The set list was pretty good too from what I remember.

You're not missing much, it's pretty much what you'd expect. Although Tom seemed to be having fun and looking like he wanted to be there! (High five anyone?)

I do wonder if AVA will ever tour again. I know Tom is a home body but to not play a single show since what 2011 just seems weird especially with how passionate he is about that band. I know the band now is basically just him and Ilan now but I'm sure David Kennedy is available to play guitar and they could find a bass player. I do wonder if him not being able to draw bigger crowds is the main reason.

Saw AVA open for Taking Back Sunday way back in the day (2006 maybe?). Had to have been for their first album and Louder Now. Had a great time, wish Tom would take it back out on the road. They could fit nicely in smaller venues or as a support act on a bigger tour.

Saw them once at a festival in 2012, he played like 7 songs or something and it was pretty alright

    I agree and I think you're right that they're a smaller venue/supporting act band.

Maybe small crowds is the reason. Not worth going on the road if you ain't gettin paid, at least when you're his status.

  10. I saw AVA at Warped Tour twice in one day (one was acoustic and one was full band), once an acoustic in-store meet & greet, and one other full band show with Say Anything.

That was a badass concert, saw it in Dallas. I remember Tom coming out to Valkyrie Missle walking around the stage like he was on the moon

    RIP EmoPunkKid28: 2002-2016 Prestigious

Saw them three times, I believe. Their very first tour before WDNTW came out, one in support of I-empire, and at Bamboozle 2010.

Also, I love Voyager from the latest EP.. I've said it before, but I think there were a lot of good ideas on the solo EP as well. An Endless Summer would've been a great blink song.

  14. True. That's the only song I would have liked to see become a Blink song from that mess.

Yeah I saw them a couple times. Once after I-empire(Tom actually sounded great at that show), twice on warped tour (as Brad said, full set and acoustic. Which was cool they did There is and I believe I miss you on the acoustic one), and then after love pt1 in the cathedral in Atlanta with Say Anything. The last one sounded really rough

I'm sorry but I cannot get behind this. I literally disliked everything about that EP; and I'm someone who actually liked (to a small extent still do) Angels. It's nothing against Tom i just literally loathed that album. My fiancé did as well and she was a Tom fan girl before their most recent break

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

Tom doesn't want to play to small crowds, he wants to play to Secret Crowds.

I saw the show in San Diego opening for TBS which was one of the first and they always use the footage from that show. They also played one of my stations Christmas shows. Was AVA, Against Me, Silversun Pickups, and Serj Tankien. We did an awkward gift exchange meet & greet with AVA.

Also did a meet & greet promo for Warped Tour where we brought a winner on AVA's tour bus and David gave the winner a guitar lesson.

    Never forget

I saw blink twice in my life here in Germany and the second time, 2014 I think, I was soooo disappointed. Literally no crowd interaction and not a single DED song. And the festival is famous for being a mostly reggae festival. Tom greeted us with: Welcome everybody...to the...big..rock festival.

He had no idea where he was at all. On the second day of the festival Shaggy played and talked about the area like he lived there. He was really fun to watch.
And I don't even really like reggae.

I saw AVA in like 2005 or 6. I seem to remember they sounded pretty good. I've never seen blink (although I live in England and have never actually tried to haha). I'm not sure I'd even want to see blink any more actually but I envy anyone who saw them pre-break up number 1.

The real claim to fame is anyone that saw Boxcar Racer on their only tour, like @bradsonemanband and I
