Nobody's really been aggressively anti-Tom in here in quite awhile? Most of us like his last album and want him to be happy and are glad he gets along with the blink guys?

Unless we're talking about thinking his obviously bad looking movie is going to be bad

 

No one has shit on him for trying to make a positive change in the world, people have shit on him for multiple versions of scamming his fans out of money.

Pretending it's anything other than that is disingenuous at best.

 

Yeah, there was that and the whole Empire Club thing, both valid criticisms!

 

What have you got against BSD? Not really my thing sonically, but they’re super nice guys and very inoffensive. Nobody is forcing you to listen to them. Kind of weird to keep picking at them like that.

 

I love AvA music and Blink but there is no doubt that Tom's company at best is a failed attempt at space craft and at worst a ponzi scam. The man took his personal debt and applied it to TTS. He raised money to pay himself and the other board members and then put the company in debt around 50 million dollars. He now is trying to exploit his fans to raise more money to pay off that debt.

The concept of wanting to disclose UFO information is fine but he is taking advantage of fans for sure.

 

I mean enough talk and just release these things right?

he did also say "this is not for a deluxe set or anything, just for my own personal archive." which is a bummer, but also i get it, but also i'm mad.

 

I love Tom and can fully admit he’s a con artist

 

Haven't finished reading the whole article yet but from what I read the concept seems pretty cool.

 

Also, as a 35 year old, Don Keydick has had me giggling for way longer than it should.

 

this is huge. Imagine one day we get TWO unreleased studio recordings from one of the bands best eras.

 

Oh lame. Wish he would just keep it to himself then tease something and get people excited for something they will never hear.

 

I thiiiiiink he’s working on a complete Blink history book or something which could be pretty awesome. But I think it’s weird how fast he is to say he’s not going to release the music on a deluxe album or something. I get that it’s not that simple, but at the same time, it doesn’t seem like he even cares to try.

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess Voyeur 2 and Don Keydick probably have lyrics that wouldn't fly today like Voyeur 1 and Degenerate lol

 

Rick Devoee mentioned on a Podcast recently that Mark is writing a book (Rick was interviewed as part of it) so it’s possible it’s for that.

 

I wonder if Voyeur 2 is similar to the Buddha Sample Tape. I mean I can’t imagine how they would have 3 Voyeur songs (I mean I can imagine it but still haha).

Don Keydick, now that’s a song we need to hear.

 

One of the two unreleased Dude Ranch songs had bits of it recycled and made into “Dumpweed” apparently.

 

Mark says that so quickly because people always taunt/ask if we’ll ever hear the demos and whatnot and he said he’s tired of hearing people ask, so that’s why I’m sure he’s quick to say it.

for what it’s worth, he’s got someone on getting the Untitled Anniversary Shows footage released for the 20th anniversary. I’m personally excited for that because I felt that it was one of the best Tom performances.

Yeah because he was singing along to a backing track of his vocals. Haha

 

Honestly im not even mad because its just a creative way of trying to make it better because he knows its gonna be rough. His voice is so different now/then.

 

It’s also glaringly distracting and makes it even more obvious how much worse he sounds now. Haha. “Now” = 2013. He sounded fine when I saw AVA a few months ago.

 

Has to be Don Keydick.

 

Holy hell that was painful to listen to. I dunno what the hell was going on with Tom's voice between 2009-2015. He sounded decent when I saw AVA in 2019 and 2021.
