I think you’re thinking of a live version they did in 2003 or 2004 for BBC Radio 1.

 

“Hope” was played live in the early 2000s and there’s a couple recordings of those. The recordings on this Poway demo are the first and only “studio” versions of it.

 

Pretty sure Mark and Tom would switch instruments for their Hope cover live.

 

I know they played it live a whole bunch on the TOYPAJ tour but always assumed the version I had was a studio recording. Actually, it looks like this was recorded live for a radio station as per this message board thread.

Am I the only one that finds it strange they named Demo 2 “21 Days” yet that song isn’t even on the tape? Wonder why it’s called that.

 

maybe they liked the title before writing the song, and then later named the song that? I do that with some stuff I write lol

 

Yeah definitely possible and probable. Wonder if it took them 21 Days to record/write.

 

My friends band has an album called Turn It On and then on the next album had a song called Turn It On. Always thought it was weird.

Mannnnn and there's actually 2 recordings of "Life's So Boring." One on the Enema demo tape that we've all heard, but there's also apparently a pre-production Enema tape that Jerry recorded, which has LSB on it too. B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

 

all these incredible new finds of relics and there's a 99.9% chance we will never actually hear them. is it too early to drink an entire case of wine?

 

I'm somewhat hopeful with Mark actually starting to talk about them there might be a chance they get released. If not we can all just find out where he lives and the next time he goes to Disney Land we can all go Ocean's 11 on his hard drives. Or hope the Russians hack into his hard drives and release them. Either way we win.
