is it just me or has mark always tilted his microphone upwards and looks like he's struggling to sing into it?

 

It kind of feels like this being done to piss off Matt if he’s still in the band.

 

That is definitely not what’s happening

 

I fully expect Tom to play at least a couple shows with blink this summer so he can promote his movie.

 

I don’t know if Blink is gonna play any shows this summer.

 

Alkaline Trio has a nice following and blink is a nice paycheck for him. Any outcome I’m sure Matt is fine with.

 

I do think he knows his place in both bands (or any project he does for that matter). The fact he doesn’t know the status of the Blink EP makes that pretty clear he has no say. He stepped in, helped blink to keep going and was smart to never abandon his main project with Dan and Derek in the Trio. I do hope he sticks in blink, but I don’t think posts like the one Tom made are done with intent.

 

Maybe Tom will come back. Maybe Matt is in forever. Maybe Tom and Matt are friends. Maybe not. Maybe Kourtney has a feature on the next album. The world is full of unknowns.

 

Don’t think we get any kind of blink tour until next summer at the earliest. With or without Tom

That post was not a dig at Matt, wtf. Tom posts a lot of sarcastic posts. I am curious when any sort of new blink news will be announced though. I feel like something has to be going on behind the scenes.

 

That post is no different than what he (or the other guys) have posted for like the last two years now. I'm sure Matt is happy they get along and doesn't sweat what will happen either way lol

 

Ghost on the Dance Floor is hitting hard this morning.

 

He’s been living the dream of so many people. He definitely seems like the kind of guy that would just be grateful for the time he’s had with the band if/when thats ever the case. Unless they somehow screwed him over, of course. He knew who’s bed he was getting in from the start through.

I don't see him out for good at any point unless it was his choice. I'd honestly be surprised if they asked him to leave or kick him out because Tom is back. I feel like Mark and Travis love that he makes blink a priority when the time comes. He's always seemed like a 'door is always open' and a 'I'll be there if you need me' kind of member.

 

Tom and Matt like each other. Idk where this speculation comes from.

 

Tom sold his rights to the Blink catalogue, right? Does that mean that he doesn't get any residuals if/when Blink tours with Matt now? Wonder how that would work if he did do some shows with the guys again.

 

If I remember correctly, he gets paid from tours and merch, not streams/album sales since he sold his stake.

 

He sold his publishing. So he doesn't get any residuals from album sales/streaming. But I think that's different from performance rights?
I dunno, I worked in this industry for years and I still barely understand it lol

 

Didn’t Tom sell his rights to an investment partnership? So he still makes money off the music, just with that company as a middle man who is ideally turning the money from his rights into more money? I don’t really remember the deal
