It's crazy to me that some bands will release absolutely everything they've ever recorded (demos, outtakes, etc) and other bands wont release any of it.

 

If I was a musician I'd be like Mark thinking the unreleased stuff is unreleased for a reason. Lol I get that insecurity

 

Clearly, it’s a serious ranking. I didn’t repeat songs or anything.

 

And that changes over time as well - look at Bruce Springsteen, so much stuff in the vault that he wasn't happy with in the 70s and early 80s, only to see him warm up to it in the 90s with tracks and even up to recent albums where he is dusting off old stuff and re-recording it.

blink was never much for b-sides, so at least they're consistent! can't blame them for holding back songs they aren't thrilled with, it's just funny they announce so much music that never comes out.

 

“Not Now” and the “Another Girl, Another Planet” cover were good b-sides

 

The leaked unfinished song from Nine was good.

the band puts lame joke songs on actually album releases at various points in their career, so I can’t imagine being more thrilled by a song like any of those joke songs from TOYPAJ or Cali and not fine with some others

 

Better to to release stuff and have some control. The “It Was Good Enough” EP or a guess this point it’s enough to be an album.

Back when it was called “Use Your Erection 1 and 2,” MTV News said: “According to Barker, a collaboration with his friends the Neptunes is still just in talks, but Blink-182 are definitely working with a few guests, including DJ Shadow, Dan the Automator and singer Robert Smith of the Cure.”

It would be crazy if there were sketches of songs they wrote with Dan The Automator and DJ Shadow. But maybe nothing came of either.

blink 182 x DJ Shadow is something I would have never expected but would certainly welcome!

 

Remember that collaborations EP we were supposed to get a few years ago

 

Currently wrapping up logistics for my wedding later this year and just got the go ahead for blink to be incorporated at the church before the ceremony begins.

So while I’m up at the front waiting, the piano/organ will be playing All The Small Things, Always, and What’s My Age Again while people file in/before the bridesmaids walk down.
