Between that, the pre California demos and the collab EP that hasn’t been released yet they have enough material for the next 6 years at least.

While I’m kinda mixed on Tom coming back, I feel like he’s been enjoying music again (especially touring) so now would be a better time than any. But I feel like he’d be out again within a few years

I also don’t mind the sped up version of There Is, Mark.

Nine was so well done I want to hear what else they were working on around that era. Just put it out and if they wanna start fresh on something they still can and make it for a proper full length.

    Dumpweed, meet Don’t Leave Me
    Violence, meet Asthenia
    First Date, meet Not Now
    I Miss You, meet Always

Make Wendy Clear and Going Away to College new staples along with this and it’s a perfect segue of new old material.

I'll say it again, if there is one thing I love most about the last year, it's Neighborhoods finally getting some love. It has its flaws, but there are some really wonderful moments on that album, and After Midnight is one of my favorite things the band has done.

They don't even need to replace songs necessarily, they just need to fucking play longer than 80 minutes

Agree but it hasn’t ever happened in the 30 years they have been a band, certainly won’t happen when they are in their mid 40s.

Songs they’ll never, ever remove from their set:

    WMAA?
    ATST
    Dammit
    Rock Show
    Miss You
    Feeling This

feel like everything else is fair game to move around

Agreed and realistically they probably shouldn’t remove those songs.

  14. don't care about Down, but Dumpweed gets me so amped, and I Miss You live with Travis's extended outro is magic.

Dumpweed is great musically, but the lyrics are only good with nostalgia and immaturity turned up to 11. They really don’t need to be playing that song in 2022.

I miss you has always been overrated to me. I never need to hear it again in any form. Honestly, the only way I enjoy hearing that song is this…

I Miss You is a perfect song. Jerry Finn's ability to record a band as sloppy as blink onto analog tape and get the sounds and takes he got is unbelievable, and I Miss You is one of the shiniest examples of his skill.

I think so, yeah. Or at least really, really good. Impeccable production and mixing, cool instrumental parts, signature catchy DeLonge/Hoppus melodies. I like the song a lot. Glad you get such a kick out of that.

I remember Mark and Tom saying “I Miss You” was so different that they weren’t sure how they’d play it live and might just throw on the song and do an interpretive dance. Wish that would have happened.

It’s definitely one of their most enduring hits for a reason.

That's just how Greg enjoys things, to each their own I guess lol

I needed a good laugh. Pretty low standards for perfect though. You are free to love it, but throwing perfect around is silly.

I mean it’s memorable in how ridiculous it is. Doesn’t mean it’s good.
