I usually film a couple of songs and put the phone away but last night’s show was a historical one for Blink fans that I wanted to help showcase it.

I think I put too much pressure on myself to get footage while also dealing with shitbags that it made parts of the show unbearable for me.

I watch the show. I will rapid fire snap some pictures and take a quick 15 second video maybe of a song I’m really wanting to remember but 95% of the time phone is away

I’ve taken more videos lately. I realized that I really enjoy having videos from a show after not doing much for awhile. But I also didn’t want to watch through my phone that much. When I started back with live shows last summer, I decided that I would film more songs, but I would just put it on a wide and hold it either over my head or right beside it on either side. I occasionally check the shot, but keeping it wide means it’s fine 99% of the time, depending on where I’m located and how the crowd is around me. This allows me to not watch on a screen and look around the stage as I please. And then I can watch the video later and watch the parts of the stage I wasn’t looking at and enjoy hearing that exact live performance that I personally saw.

    It works for me.

Sometimes I’ll decide to take a video but I’m not sure why I’m doing it because I literally never watch them, and then I feel really awkward about it so I don’t do it again until the next show.

    I absolutely get you man.
I used to LOVED going to pit but I just can’t stand it anymore. For me it’s not even people jumping and ,,moshing”.I’m fine with that as long as they don’t obviously asking for troubles or trying hurt somebody.
I got kicked out of Bad Religion show because a caught by shirt one of the two guys who were literally punching people in pit and took him down to floor to calm down.
Then security came to me and said I WAS trying to pick up the fight and kicked me out lol.

I just can’t listen drunk talk and shouting on the band or dealing with obviously brainless idiots.

Sorry to hear that.Still you got to see blink very close and it was first show of the tour!

People are often really weird about taking videos etc, but I'll tell you now, I'd give anything to see videos of gigs I went to when I was younger, like My Chem, Paramore, etc in the local 500 cap venue where I grew up. In that case, no videos exist because mobile phones weren't quite there yet.

I also have some videos of my favourite bands that I took that I absolutely love to watch again.

Its not like I watch the screen whilst I take them either, pretty easy to hold a phone in front of you without blocking anyone or yourself.

Yea, I wish I had videos of at least 2005. It’s to date, the year I went to the most shows. So many killer sets I got to see.

  16. It really depends. Crowds were good for Thursday and the starting line but boring for jimmy eat world for example. I wasn't close enough for Paramore to see what the pit was up to and I left before my chem.

Feel like people forget that we are all getting older and most of the people going to see these bands from their childhood are closer to 40 than 20. It makes sense that people aren't raging like they used to.

Did the damn thing for the Sunday Chicago show. Lower bowl that should have me eye-to-eye with Mark all night. Won't not cry.

Looks like Travis is still nursing his finger. He better take it easy before another injury leads to more cancellations!

    Thanks man I appreciate that!

I think I need to take a break from the pit as well, it's not as fun as it used to be for me.

That being said, I'm very grateful I got to be so close on the first "official" show of the reunion save for the Coachella shows.

Finally checked out the GOTDF video form last night. It’s a song I’ve always thought was just alright. But that performance from last night had some strong 2004 Untitled vibes and it was great.
