What if it means that Tom comes back and they actually start changing their setlist

I would really love to hear what his realistic blink concert playlist would be.

Hypothetically, if they took out First Date, All The Small Things, and Down, and they swapped in Apple Shampoo or Waggy, Wendy Clear or Going Away To College, and Every Time I Look For You or Please Take Me Home, it would make such a huge difference to the overall setlist.

 

They can never remove ATST, but the others can certainly go. Even "Violence" has overstayed its welcome.

Haha I'm not saying I'm not over that song 95% of the time. It just cracks me up how fed up Mark looks with Tom in that video. Somebody tweet that at Mark, remind him please lol

Violence gets too much hate. Plus it's easily one of their best sounding live with Skiba blink.

 

It would honestly take Tom two days of tour to remember how much he hates playing blink songs

 

"Violence" is fine ... it just doesn't need to be in the set every single time.

 

Just funny to me that Mark genuinely loves everything he's done, Shut Up is the only song I remember him even being 'meh' on.

Meanwhile Tom constantly looks down on almost all of his blink work, but will sure remind you that he founded it

Ugh they really need to keep it just friends and not professional. I actually like it better when I can like Tom.

Down absolutely needs to be removed. That song drags like crazy

I agree with Down and Violence needing to be dropped for a bit. Put Always, Athenia, Go, or Here’s Your Letter in their place.

My super hot take is drop I Miss You and First Date haha. I’ve always found I Miss You very boring. And to quote Travis, “it’s okay, ha”.

 

Get rid of Down and replace it with Obvious.
Get rid of First Date and replace with Josie.
Get rid of Violence and replace with STFTK.

 

I don't even like down or I miss you but I'd keep them just cause Travis does fun stuff with the drumming.

 

yeah, the ending of "i miss you" is enough of a reason to keep it in the setlist. it's always one of the biggest highlights at their shows.

 

Yea songs like Dumpweed, Down, and I miss you can all go away from their sets.

 

I was just watching older live performances of Down compared to newer ones with Tom and my God, for such an easy song, it’s like he forgot how to even strum (or sing) correctly post reunion. Like when you watch Down from the AOL sessions, he’s playing so confidently and with ease, actually hitting every chord on guitar, but watching any post reunion performance, it’s just so strange.

 

Matt says they recorded an EP remotely during quarantine which ended up becoming 7 or 8 songs, but it got shelved after Mark's diagnosis. He didn't specifically say if it's shelved permanently or not though.
