Sublime and Queen both go by those names for legal reasons. In fact the first few shows with Rome were just billed as "Sublime" and Bradley's estate sued.

 

He signed away his ownership? I don't remember hearing that.

 

He sold his publishing, which is different. I don't recall anything about him divesting in the business – I could be wrong, though.

 

I guess these guys are all pretty well versed in the featuring/guest spot game so if they do have something with Tom they should be able to figure it out.

Based on this, is Mark considered the primary owner of blink-182?

 

I went to this and it was great. Saw Blink's warm-up show at SOMA and saw Bad Religion at their warm-up show prior to the big day. Seeing blink, even with Skiba, back to back like that was amazing.

 

If Tom were to be on a song with blink I don’t think it’s going to be listed as ‘featuring Tom Delonge’ or anything like that. Hardcore blink fans will know he’s on the song already and causal fans will only care depending on the quality of the song.

There's literally nothing else to talk about at this point.

 

So anybody else hear those rumors about Mark starting +55 and it being Just Mark and Travis playing 155 over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

 

It wouldn’t be for the hardcore fans, it’d be for the Top 40 and alt rock radio which is a market Blink still exists in. Some of those people wouldn’t even know Tom ever left, so if they want to market his return, they gotta hype it. Plus it may just be a guest spot.

Honeslty, I wouldn’t care if he ever came back. If he does, hope it’s for a song and we’ll see how good it is.

 

If people like the song it will get air play. They don’t need to hype anything. Bored To Death wasn’t marketed as them having a new member or anything like that. It got to #1 because it was good and people liked it.

 

Skiba doesn’t even compare to Delonge’s popularity, or Alk3 to Blink so I don’t think that was marketable move as much as saving the band.

And yes, Bores to Death is good. People were excited to hear Blink again. But, select people still trash them without Tom and cant accept California or how awesome Nine is.

We also know Tom is big on marketing and has already tried to start the hype train.

 

I don't know what you're trying to get at here. You're overrating the "Tom is big on marketing" aspect. Tom is a huge part of blink, regardless if you're a casual fan or a hardcore fan. The hype or whatever you're talking about will come naturally with the fact that he's even back in blink in any capacity. It will ultimately just be a blink-182 song and be judged based on whether it is a good song or not.

 

They should rebrand as Blink-182 with Travis from Machine Gun Kelly

 

I have a more cynical view on this for a reason.
