"For those interested, here is how it works with Fender/HMNIM.

Before, Fender made my basses and paid me a royalty on every bass sold. They dealt with the sales to stores and from the website, everything. I got a check every year or whatever it was. Fender stopped making my basses for retail a few years ago.

Now, because so many people have been asking for new basses, we hit up Fender and they’re doing runs of my new basses on a for-hire basis. We pay Fender to make them, we deal with sales and shipping. We didn’t know how many people would want them so we ordered 50. With how fast these went we’re ordering more. HMNIM puts forward the money, Fender builds them, we sell them from the website, we ship them."

It’s genius. I’m a mastermind and deserve to be treated as such.

Also, they are going to be doing other runs of the bass, so don't buy from scalpers/flippers. They are doing batches of 50 and the next batch will be announced eventually

 

They're due for another live album. Even Skiba-era aside that's still TOYPAJ, Untitled, Neighborhoods that never got a live album treatment

 

Wish they released the final night of the untitled anniversary shows (that I was at!)

While it does seem random now, they had been playing that song consistently on their set list for 4 years when the live album was recorded. And they played it for another year and a half after until their set completely changed when TOYPAJ dropped.

 

I bet when Tom comes back they will end up releasing those. Especially if he’s back next year with it being the 20th anniversary.

I don’t crave live albums, unless it somehow serves a purpose towards new material or different material (like Nirvana’s Unplugged or Dustin Kensrue’s Thoughts That Float On A Different Blood).

 

People are now rumoring on Reddit that they've been secretly recording with Tom in Travis' studio/making cryptic posts on instagram. I've decided to take a break from that sub.

 

When Tom comes back, I've decided that I'd prefer Skiba to stay. He could be blink's George Harrison!

 

Yeah if Tom comes back I hope it’s not at the expense of Skiba leaving.

 

I don’t know what Skiba’s commitment level is to Blink, but he came up huge for the band taking over the vacant role. If things are ok, I hope he doesn’t get kicked out or replaced because he’s contributed to the band.

 

No Heart To Speak Of is such a damn good song.

 

Yeah. This take here has my eyes rolling to the back of my head, and I should disclose I’m definitely down for Tom rejoining and prefer him over the Matt albums. But this is just “Trump won!” Levels of delusion.
