A few weeks ago, I saw that a band I opened for a while back was going to be selling NFTs, and I assumed it was a joke, especially because they said their first one would be an audio file of the singer’s heartbeat. It turned out to be completely real and serious so I stopped following them. I hate all this NFT shit so much hahaha.

 

Earlier this week my company made us sit through a 2 hour presentation on the metaverse and NFTs and digital currency and how it's all going to affect our business in the next 5 years. I left that presentation even more confused than I had entered.

Agreed that it’s all a joke, but unfortunately I’m aware of probably a dozen other bands that have similar things in the works as we speak.

 

If Blink gets on the NFT train someday and offers the Dude Ranch demo tape or the demos they did with Skiba and Tim Armstrong, I will be so fucking mad.

I can see Tom preparing NFT shit as we speak.

It is kind of surprising that a band that has been around as long as Blink hasn't Super Deluxe Editioned all of their older albums to death. Maybe they left very little on the cutting room floor?

 

I think it’s simply a mix of Mark not thinking there’s enough demand for it and not wanting to release unfinished work. I personally think they are leaving a lot of money on the table not releasing anniversary deluxe editions especially since it seems like it’s pretty simple to do.

 

I can't remember specifically when Mark said this (maybe last year on a twitch stream?) but I swear he's mentioned talking to the label about doing some kind of box set/special release for the 20th anniversary of Untitled
