i miss when mark did features that were important to the song like hangman by motion city soundtrack, now he just comes in on every second verse singing lyrics that have no value.

 

The Rock immediately says yes when they say “Kevin Hart.”

 

Haha I'm not hating too hard, I love the guy but him getting up at 4 a.m. everyday to workout makes me feel lazy and I'm tired of his tequila. Also I wish I could afford a 6,000 calorie diet so I'm jealous of that too haha.

 

It’s great that he does all these guest vocal spots, but I do love the Hangman cameo because it’s a band I actually like and listen to already anyway.

In all these recent features it doesn’t even sound like him.I miss when he showed up out of nowhere with his deep singing voice and you KNEW that’s Mark

 

I'm assuming these were recorded post chemo/cancer diagnosis so I'll cut him some slack for not sounding how I want him to. Cause, you know, it's all about me.

 

I have no issues with how he sounds, but the songs are bad

 

I hadn't listened to a Blink album in years, but I'm borrowing a car without an aux/Bluetooth so I grabbed my old CDs and popped in Neighborhoods

Not their best by any means but still some good stuff. "After Midnight" is one of their best songs, and "Up All Night" is better than I remembered. "Wishing Well" and "MH 04.18.2011" also very strong

"Snake Charmer" used to be one of my favorites on there but I don't think I was putting two and two together with the lyrics and the title... I wasnt crazy about it with that in mind

I wonder if Tom has ever heard that song before

 

Back when Neighborhoods came out I remember Tom saying it sounded like an ALL song and didn't need to be fucked with lol. So at least once, allegedly.

 

The bridge in snake charmer was always in my top 3 favorite moments on neighborhoods

 

May need that blue crew.

 

The old school tee’s are dope

 

Loving the new take on old designs. Works really well in a couple aspects:
Keeps the collector value of older pieces
Keeps up with the trend of today's age/taste

I have way too many t-shirts but might have to snag a couple. Hoping there's more than one 30th anniversary drop.

 

That’s the only redeemable part of what I consider a bottom 5 blink song.

I _assume_ Tom writes verses first, as I understand, and that's why his verses might be stronger than choruses. And this actually is not a good thing. Just a few examples: The Adventure, or Restless Souls.

 

Tom’s choruses have always been stronger than his verses…..

 

Between the blink anniversary merch and the bright eyes reissues and tickets going on sale this has been an expensive week for me, lol.

Random thought but I've always wanted to know what Conor Oberst thinks about blink. I know he was probably a little too old/mature to fall in love with them in 1999-2003 but I imagine Phoebe has maybe tried to get him into them more recently. Sorry, these are the things I think about in my free time haha.
