I had a dream that they quietly put new music up on streaming services. There was the official new single, which was pretty good, and then a few inexplicable covers of their own music with new lyrics, including Edging. The covers were weird and sloppy.

 

Haha dreams like this are always so funny. Like, why would they cover their own classic songs but rewrite the lyrics? Haha

 

Does anyone remember a "Blink 182" leak that dropped while they were recording California? No vocals and clearly wasn't Blink, but I remember it sounding pretty cool. That may be vague as hell, but I have no other indicators.

 

Would be interesting to hear Travis sing, nothing I'd ever expect

I remember a ton of this kind of thing with Neighborhoods. Then I'm pretty sure those people just rename the video and reupload their videos in the leadup to every album.

 

I remember this being the case too, but I could swear it was new upon California's rollout. It sounded like it could've been a demo from Untitled. I've searched through youtube hoping the thumbnail would stick out but I got nothing.

I know we have no real idea how much they’ve accomplished in the studio so far, but…I’m getting the vibe they are going to have a ton of material. Knowing they already had a decent amount before the announcement and seeing how many daily studio updates they’ve given, they have to have quite a bit ready to go.

Hoping if that’s the case that they don’t shelve a bunch of it and let us hear it all. Haha.

For me over anything I just want them to take time to really think through the songs. I feel like certain songs throughout this post-09-reunion haven't had the full fleshed out feel to them. Songs that are undeniably good have the potential to be great.

So with all of this material and content, I just hope they attack songs from different angles. Like warping a weak chorus into an excellent bridge.

I'd love for 10 AMAZING songs vs 15 songs with 6 of them being great, but I am very selfish when it comes to blink, so I would take 20 songs if they had 'em. Like Cali +Cali DLX was great because it was essentially finishing a meal and having an OK dessert afterwards. I just kept eating.
